This story is proof that everything happens for a reason, even if the reason is quite silly sometimes. Eventually, you know the reason.
We all experience a thousand different things each day, good and bad. But it is often when bad things happen that we wonder why that happened to us or what was it that we did to deserve something like that. This story displays how a mysteriously stolen truck shows up at the same spot days later, with no difference other than the fact that the tank was not as full as before and the truck had an apology note along with some small gifts.
Varun Chada, the owner of a cafe called Kati Street in Auckland, New Zealand, fell victim to a truck robbery. One day after completing the work, he found that his truck was stolen from right outside his cafe, which he posted on Kati Street's Facebook page. In conversation with the New Zealand Herald, he said, "The first time I thought I was losing my mind because I'd just walked inside and the second time I rocked up and it was parked there." This unfortunate incident happened on November 14, when Chada was done for the day and about to head home. He came out to his truck but went back in after putting in his keys because he forgot something. When he came out a few minutes later, his truck was gone.
The neighbor's security camera allowed him to know that in the five minutes he was inside his cafe, someone came and stole his truck. So, Chada did the logical thing. Along with lodging a complaint with the police, he posted about the stolen truck on the cafe's social media with extensive detail. He wrote a caption stating that his truck was stolen from right outside the shop and that the attached picture was of the man who stole it. He urged people to let him know if they had any leads. Luckily, a decent number of people shared the post to increase its reach. However, four days later, the unexpected happened.
His truck showed up on a random morning in the same condition, in the same spot!! Chada was as stunned as anyone and informed the cops immediately. He saw that the truck was in the same condition, more or less and had only lost about a quarter of a tank full of gasoline and the license plates had been taken out. They, however, did something else as well. They apparently left some new toys for Chada's son, with an apology note. The note stated that the man who stole the truck needed a ride home since they were drunk and were apologetic for their action. They also added that they had left the keys and toys inside the car for Chada to find and ended the note with a sorry!
Chada said, "I couldn't believe it. It was exactly where I'd parked it and I walked up to the window and there was a note inside it." Chada also added that while he isn't condoning what the thief did, he is stoked to have had the truck returned safely to him. After he informed the police about the same, a police spokesperson said, "Despite the return of this stolen vehicle to its owner, police are continuing to investigate the theft and are following positive lines of inquiry." However, it's safe to say that all's well that ends well and this story is proof of that.
