'So they sell MILs like this on Amazon?' a user asked, reflecting upon the beautiful story.

Paige Souza (@paigem_souza on Instagram) married Blake, the man of her dreams, unaware that her parents-in-law had already manifested her into their lives. Paige's mother-in-law narrated the oh-so-beautiful story on their wedding day, and the internet is just stunned — in the best way possible. The Instagram reel has over a million views since its release on July 14, 2025.

Paige's parents-in-law are blessed with two sons, and they believe it's for the best since they could never agree on a girl's name. "We did a 'Name the baby' contest; we did all these different things," she recalled. But after Blake was born, one day, her father-in-law came home, excited about finally deciding on a name for their daughter. "I am like, really? We are not having any more kids, so I am not sure it's really relevant anymore," her MIL said. But she was definitely curious about what name her husband, Paul, had decided on, and surprisingly, it was Paige. "So, 26 years later, [through] all of life's twists and turns, we finally have our daughter Paige," the MIL spoke, suppressing her happy tears. "Blake told me this when we started dating 17 years ago, and it was even more special that my MIL shared it at our wedding," Paige wrote in the caption.

Manifestation isn't a concept backed by any scientific proof, but is something widely accepted by people all over the world. In fact, to analyze the psychology of those who believe in manifestation, a team conducted three studies with more than 1000 adults and found that more than one-third of them endorsed manifestation beliefs. The researchers also observed that those with strong beliefs about the manifestation had more ambitious dreams, were more likely to take financial risks, and were positive about achieving success in life

Meanwhile, when Paige shared the wholesome moment online, the response was just unreal. People went all out, appreciating her mother-in-law for accepting Paige as her own daughter. For instance, @jessicajade.co commented, "What a loving family you've married into! I’m so happy you have a bonus family that adores you and that they’ve got their daughter." Similarly, @takingcarababies said, "This is the best story! Her tears at the end… Love, love, love! She waited 26 years for you, Paige Souza!" Another user who goes by @glowingup.annie shared, "My MIL always wanted to adopt a baby girl, but it didn’t happen. I’m adopted from China, so it all worked out."

@beccajean_robinson confessed, "Absolutely tearing up while nursing my second baby boy. Perhaps one day he will marry a Molly, and I can give her the nameplate I bought in case he(my son) were a girl! So sweet." Echoing the sentiments, @oluwadamilola.ife said, "So sweet and precious. My MIL and FIL told me they expected my husband to be a girl and had the name Zaynab for a middle name picked out. They were surprised when they had a boy instead. Only for my middle name to be Zaynab." @kristen shared, "As a mom of boys who may never get her girl, this made me cry! One day I'll have my girl in the form of a daughter-in-law!"
