There were two weigh-ins at 12:25 a.m. and 12:26 a.m. on their digital bathroom scale

Cheaters always leave behind traces of their betrayal, and that's precisely how an anonymous woman discovered her husband was cheating on her while she was away. She had shared her story on Reddit — but she later deleted it. However, it was then reshared on Ricki-Lee & Tim's (@rickileeandtim) radio show on May 14, 2026. The clip has since received over 550,000 views on Instagram.
The woman revealed that she wasn't home that night, and what tipped her off about her husband's affair was an 'unassigned weigh-in' in the middle of the night. There were two weigh-ins at 12:25 a.m. and 12:26 a.m. on their digital bathroom scale. The woman confirmed she didn't weigh 120 pounds, and no one except her husband was home. So, this further suggested that while she was away, her husband brought someone home without her knowledge.

It's not every day you find people reading their weighing-scale history, unless someone is on a weight-loss mission. But here, the woman was especially suspicious because her husband had already cheated on her before, according to the New York Post. Well, the couple had separated because of his infidelity, but came back together to give their relationship just another chance. "The goal was to work on ourselves to help build a better foundation, and we agreed not to see other people," the woman explained in the comments, but unfortunately, her cheater husband had different plans.

Fortunately for those being cheated on — and unfortunately for the cheaters, infidelity in today's world is not as easy as it used to be. A survey of over 1,000 committed people (by DatingAdvice.com) found that most cheaters have not been caught because of inappropriate messages on their phones. In fact, more Millennials (40.2%) have been caught cheating after their partners checked their texts and DMs, as compared to Gen Zs (22.94%). A significant share of people have been caught cheating after their bank statements revealed suspicious expenses, such as hotel bookings, date nights, etc. Notably, more men have been caught this way than women (16.27% vs. 8.84%).

Meanwhile, reacting to the story, u/5car_ti55ue shared, "It’s exactly what you think it is.... 120 pounds sounds like a woman who needed to pee and saw the chance to weigh herself. Bet she never even thought about registering with an app, and your husband (soon to be ex) never even knew she did it." Similarly, u/rottenlychee suggested, "He literally gives 0 fucks and doesn't respect or care about your feelings at all, divorce. Life is too damn short to waste time worrying about who he's hooking up with." u/cheskapoo wrote, "This is expert-level sleuthing. Men underestimate our level of intuition. When you confront him, he’ll probably try to paint you as crazy or paranoid. You’re not. They don’t get it — they could fart differently and we’d know something’s up."
