'The boys' team up to help their friend land a second date with a girl by writing the perfect text

Sometimes, friends come together to help with the most lighthearted matters. For example, an entire group might show up to decide which tie best matches a person's suit. This is especially common when a friend is trying to communicate with a crush or date. In a similar situation, a group of men came together to help their friend craft the perfect response to a girl, and the result was truly hilarious. A video of their gathering was shared by @famousbachelors on TikTok and many people can relate to it.

"Where it all started," read the text overlay of the video as a group of young men connected a phone to the TV, displaying a chat window on the big screen. They were all excited at the prospect of their friend possibly having a second date. One boy suggested that, based on the girl's response, the reply should be something like, "Yeah, that’s cool with me." Another chimed in, saying it should be along the lines of, "Thanks for being honest." Amid the jumbled noises, one of the boys declared that the response should be, "Totally understand where you’re coming from," and several agreed with him. "I was thinking… 'expectable,'" another friend added.

There was another round of discussion about the choice of words until one guy stated, "I think you should ask her if she would Netflix and chill." Soon enough, an hour had passed, but the friends still hadn’t reached a conclusion about the text. They were talking over each other until one person pointed out that their draft was "short, sweet and simple." He added, "'Makes sense. Want to go on a date next week?' Done, not overthought." Another friend suggested an alternative, and someone remarked, "This is where you can show he's husband material and understands what she’s going through."

"Do it all in person, this is text," another friend enthusiastically commented. The debate continued when the guy in question remarked, "Been on one date and they are already talking about wife!" People took to the comments section of the post to comment on the topic at hand and to share their own experiences. @kimjones580 commented, "All I can imagine is the girl group doing this on the other end. Humans are so cute." @maybekaini remarked, "The fact that her message was 28 minutes ago and they‘ve been contemplating since." @fthje expressed, "Crafting it in the chat is BRAVE. @jeepitsimple24 wrote, "Wow, I am amazed at her straight up communicating exactly what she’s feeling. THAT'S HOW IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE DONE.
