The 2020 Australian Firefighters Calendar is officially here. It will make you hot and sweaty.

Are you ready to get all hot and bothered? Well, you better be. The Australian firefighters calendar for 2020 is finally here. What began in 1993 as an initiative to support the Children's Hospital Foundation has over the years become a yearly tradition. While some traditions are hard to get behind, this is one that we've all come to know, love, and eagerly wait for every single new year. This year, sexy firefighters can be seen posing with some adorable animals, including cats, dogs, and wildlife. While the folks behind the yearly planner haven't shared where they'll be donating the revenue, we do trust they'll pick an organization doing good and important work.

This year, there are six calendar options to choose from: cat, dog, horse, wildlife, farm animal, and, of course, the classic hot firefighters. So, you can have your pick of shirtless men posing with your favorite animal. Let's be very clear though, these firefighters aren't just standing by and looking pretty. They're doing immensely impactful work. Over the past few years, they've raised over $3 million for various charities. In the past five years alone, they were able to raise $1.9 million. Moreover, just last year, proceeds from calendar sales were donated to organizations such as the Kids With Cancer Foundation, Rural Aid Australia, Down Syndrome South Australia, Pets Of The Homeless Victoria, Youngcare QLD, Currumbin Wildlife Hospital, and Precious Paws Animal Rescue - to name just a few.

In its 27th year now, the annuals firefighters calendar is set to raise awareness about homeless animals. In an effort to have people adopt rescue animals rather than pay for expensive breeds, they posted a photo of the hot dudes posing with rescue animals to Instagram. Their caption reads, "It’s International Homeless Animals Day this weekend. Our two gorgeous 2020 cover models Simba the kitten and puppy George have both been adopted since our photoshoot and we couldn’t be happier! Please remember this weekend to #AdoptDontShop." Don't you just love an attractive man who cares about our tiny furry friends? (I think I just got a little bit of drool on my keyboard.)

While it may seem like all fun and games to be a hot firefighter posing with an adorable kitten... It isn't. These guys go through three weeks of rigorous photoshoots before the best images are put together to develop the annual calendar for fans across the globe. Did we mention that, by the way?
