Sometimes, all one needs to spice up one's relationship is a little bit of fun. Apart from the affection and care that a couple has for each other, the little things like playing pranks or surprising one another excite the relationship. Recently, one such adorable surprise planned and executed by a high school girl from Toronto, Canada has been stealing hearts on social media. Doris decided to catch her boyfriend off-guard in his school cafeteria with a cheerful proposal for prom and people on TikTok are loving it. The boyfriend was so flabbergasted that his reaction said it all.

The video begins with a group of high school students walking into the cafeteria and singing the lyrics to the Backstreet Boys song, "I Want It That Way." The students were in quirky costumes wearing T-shirts that read, "Prom?" when spelled in order. Some of them wore Scottish kilts along with the T-shirts and the entire cafeteria was staring at them perplexed and excited. The camera then pans to the boyfriend who stood up realizing what was about to happen. Three girls grooving to the song with peppy moves approached Doris's boyfriend to hand over the roses they had.

Finally, the girlfriend entered the cafeteria dancing to the song while carrying a signboard above her head. "Will you spike up my night at prom?" the sign read and the boyfriend was absolutely elated by her cute efforts. Eventually, he expressed his wish to take her to prom by saying "Yes," and hugging her. Everyone in the cafeteria cheered for the couple and the "promposal" team joined in too. This adorable video was viewed more than 9.2 million times and thousands of users showered their love for the girlfriend's thoughtful surprise.

"That's a strong independent girl who knows what she wants at an early age! She went for it with confidence and one of the best songs," pointed out @fitness_girl_209. "This is beautiful. This is the first time I have seen a girl ask. I love how supportive everyone around her was. This is gorgeous," chimed in @martha..higgins. "Wait, these things actually happen? I thought it was just in fairytales," @___g_h_o_s_t_____ asked in surprise.

Turns out, the girlfriend was not the first to plan a surprise "promposal." A few days before she was caught off-guard by her boyfriend in the cafeteria, the boyfriend had executed his classy yet cute surprise by asking her to prom. Her boyfriend's "promposal" began with a high school band marching to the drumbeats in unison. Each student was holding a card with an alphabet that read "Prom," when spelled together.

The best part of the boyfriend's surprise was the checklist he made for his girlfriend. Out of the four points in the check, three were marked as done. The couple had their first date in May last year, made their relationship official last August and the pair's dream to get into NYU together came true last December. This year, there was only one thing left to do on their checklist and that was going to prom. So, when the boyfriend arrived with the list, the girlfriend knelt down and put a huge tick mark on the check box that said "Prom together?" implying her acceptance of his proposal.
