'Ted Mosby' reveals one thing every 'single' person needs to do in their quest for love

'I used to get really nervous around women, especially when making a bold move in a declaration, but you just gotta do it,' he confessed.

A man, anxious about proposing to the woman he'd been dating, turned to Ted Mosby — we mean, actor Josh Radnor — for advice. His response? Well, it's something every singleton needs in their toolkit. Josh began by praising Zakir Siddiqui (@zockkr) for making things official, and then went on to deliver a relationship masterclass that he truly needed.

He explained the two possibilities, saying that the lady might say 'Yes,' or she might end things, but either way, Zakir should honor her decision. "Do not plunge yourself into despair if she's not into it, but also don't think your life is solved forever if she is, because you then gotta navigate a relationship," Josh said. The actor advised Zakir on how he could ask the 'Will you?' question while ensuring the lady wasn't uncomfortable. "I used to get really nervous around women, especially when making a bold move in a declaration, but you just gotta do it," Josh confessed.

Much like his advice, his iconic character from 'How I Met Your Mother' is a hopeless romantic at heart who goes through a series of relationships, heartbreaks, and impulsive decisions, all in search of 'the One.' After breaking up multiple times with Robin Scherbatsky, Ted married Tracy McConnel, with whom he had two children. However, Tracy died of an illness, and in the end, Ted reunited with Robin. Coming back to Zakir's story, he met his 'dream woman' on Instagram and later took her on their first date to the "Farmer's Market." Things turned out well, so they met on two more dates before Zakir asked her to be his girlfriend. With all honesty, he confessed his feelings, and in another update, Zakir talked about their first date after she said 'yes.'

Overwhelmed with the update, @anna wished, "Oh, I hope she says yes! I’m so happy for you! I remember your videos popping up on my feed with the craziest stories when I was going through my separation, and they always lifted my mood. Glad you found your lady!" @lushangela_ shared, "Finally! If there is someone on the internet we want to win love, it's you because you have worked tirelessly to find her. We are glad you got your rewards, and may you finally win in the game of love."

@young_moolahhh wrote, "This is so wholesome! May every girl find a guy with such patience and love like this!" Echoing the sentiments, @vishnu_1403 wrote, "Dude... you're going to be so happy. Your partner is going to be so happy, and you guys will write a beautiful story from here on. You got everything that you manifested with this person. I hope you get a more beautiful relationship than we all see in Disney movies." Today, unfortunately, we have more people who say finding love in the modern world is hard. In fact, a study by Apostolou et al. (2023) across 14 countries found that nearly 50% of people have difficulty starting a romantic relationship. Besides, they found that more than 30% struggle to maintain one. Emphasizing on it, another user, @marissa__369, commented, "This is so beautiful to see, especially in a society full of failed situationships; this gives me so much hope in dating."  @sapnaabhatii wrote, "Oh my gosh, an Indian man showing vulnerability? This is groundbreaking! Rooting for you, hoping everything works out!"
