A good proposal includes all the intimate and personal moments a couple experiences during their courtship. It captures commitment in the mundane and daily routine of life by making it special in a unique way. While this may seem like a jumbled definition, Rachel’s partner perfectly demonstrated the same with the woman. Capturing a vital part of her life, her classroom and her toddler students, the man aced his proposal in a rather wholesome way. Rachel Leibold—who goes by @rachelleibold on TikTok—shared the video, revealing the precious moment. Her partner had come to her classroom to do a mystery reading for the class.

The basic idea was that he recite poetry to the kids to make the class more lively and offer a change from the monotonous routine. The man got a poem to read but had something more in store. The caption read, “What started as a typical mystery reader for me and my 2nd graders- my boyfriend had a surprise extra last page for the book he read… my 2nd graders and I will never get over this.” The man continued reading while the kids were all seated collectively. Leibold was standing beside him, watching the kids as he read.

“Her bright blue eyes and that captivating smile, it had me running to see her, not one but 8 miles,” the man read. The children were clueless, but Leibold could sense something relatable and let out a chuckle. “Now, as we approach this new stage of life, there is no question that I want you as my wife,” the man continued, turning his gaze from the kids towards Leibold. Still unaware, Leibold thought it was just a poem he’d written for the sake of the kids and gave a proud and impressed expression. However, the kids shrieked and gasped over the faint idea of what was to unfold.

A collective scream of excitement filled the room. “Now there is something still missing, yes, just one thing,” the man continued to read expressively. The kids, all jittery at this point, had their hands on their mouths and heads, unable to wait for the next few moments. “And that is a beautiful, radiant diamond ring,” he exclaimed as he reached out and took out the ring placed neatly in a ring box. Leibold was astounded and had no idea how to respond but could only let out a happy gasp. The kids yelled in absolute delight, cheering on the duo.

Amid the adorable chaos and keen expressions, the man stood up and got down on one knee and said, “And so Rachel, here I am, getting down on one knee and I love you with all my heart…will you marry me?” he popped the question. Leibold was overjoyed and immediately said yes while the toddlers screamed, clapped and went bonkers over the jovial moment. The romantic, cozy moment blending with the sweet riot of the kids getting super excited made the moment perfect for Leibold. @carrielisis said, “You’re kidding me! The cuteness, the thoughtfulness, the creativity!” @anastasiaanicolee said, “My third-grade teacher got engaged in front of our class. I still remember it to this day.”
