'I will go to the military, and get a bazooka...'

A schoolteacher was surprised, or let's say shocked, to read what a third-grade student had written when asked about their dream job. The teacher (u/callmejessicalange) posted a picture of the kid's evil plan on Reddit on October 26, 2025. So far, the post has 38 upvotes on the platform.

The aspiration was to work at McDonald's and become a manager there. Sounds pretty simple, right? But wait, till you know the kid's evil plan to blow up other competitors and become rich. The kid wrote, "I will be a manager. [I will] Close the store, then I will go to the military, and get a bazooka." But why? Well, so they could use a rocket launcher to destroy all other food outlets like Subway and Wendy's. "Then I will open the store and will make millions. Then I will be rich," the kid wrote in their assignment.
The child’s interpretation might appear harmless, but the fact that they could imagine something so destructive so early on could reveal a lot about their mental state. In fact, researchers say destructive ideas often stem from personal experience with bullying and other forms of aggression. "One way to think about fantasies is as our brain rehearsing future scenarios. The increased violent fantasies among those who experience bullying or mistreatment may be a psychological mechanism to help prepare them for violence to come," said Prof Manuel Eisner, Director of Cambridge’s Violence Research Center and lead author of the study published in the journal Aggressive Behavior.
Meanwhile, the Reddit post received a great response on the platform, leaving most people shocked by the kid's insane plan to get rich. For instance, u/visit_excellent commented, "He understands how a monopoly works. I mean, it's not quite the same as blowing up other businesses... but he's on the right track." u/omg-sidefriction wrote, "Just a small note: The only 'stupid' part is him closing the store so he can blow up other fast food joints. He’s a manager. You stay open and have your staff keep making money during your fast food assault! Score: 9/10." u/xkruxurkx said, "A McDonald's manager is the realest dream any one of us could achieve (of course, with determination). This kid understood the world we live in."

u/beautiful_truck_3785 shared, "When my daughter was that age, she said she wanted to be an animal rescuer. And I thought that was really cute, and I asked her what she was going to do with the animals she rescued, and she said that she was going to train them to dig for jewels. Which is honestly pretty enterprising." u/vanillablue_ confessed, "The handwriting AND the sentence structures written into this response are really impressive for a 3rd grader, wtf! You must be an excellent teacher. It gave me a belly laugh today. Thank you, kid!" u/fireflydrake commented, "Whoa whoa whoa WHOA, this is the sub for STUPID kids! This genius has already articulated a masterful understanding of capitalism and how the means to success and riches is to violently and unethically destroy all competition and run a successful monopoly! Give them an A+ and an apology!"
