Teacher and a young boy spread Christmas joy among kids from struggling families

Christmas is the holiday to bring cheers for everyone. Unfortunately, some people miss out on the joys of this festival due to a variety of reasons like finances and issues with family. Carey Arensberg—who goes by @mrsarensberg4th on TikTok—got to know that many students in her class are unable to participate in one of the most wholesome traditions of the festival, she decided to do something about it. Her objective was that no child should be left behind on Christmas. In this pursuit, she got help from a sweet child—who goes by @eli_and_mom on TikTok—who after seeing her video got help from his community to raise funds for the students in her class.

Children all over the world look forward to their Christmas gift stocking every year. The idea is that Santa puts gifts in this stocking as a token of love for the children. Some children are not lucky enough to get this 'token of love.' Arensberg was saddened to know that some of the children in her classroom had never enjoyed this tradition which was a staple in her household. This made her decide that every Christmas she would do this tradition in her classroom. Eli, an avid follower of hers found out about this and wanted to contribute to this beautiful gesture.

Arensberg begins the video by sharing what drove her to begin this tradition. She shares, "I fill it with just a couple of the things that would have been in my stocking too." Thereafter, the teacher went on to share Eli's contribution to the whole tradition. She added, "There is a really sweet young man that lives in Tennessee and he likes to watch some of my videos like y'all do with his mom and he saw one of our videos one time...and he reached out to his community, his neighbors and all that, and said that one of the things that makes him happy is a Happy Meal." Cue exciting noises from the entire classroom.

The teacher finally revealed the happy news to everyone by pulling out a McDonald's gift card. She further informed them that the card had enough to get two children a Happy Meal so they could enjoy this experience with their siblings. All the squealing reflected the happiness the children were feeling by this generous gift. Carey placed the cards in the students' stockings along with many other gifts like candies ensuring that they feel all the love as they embark on their Christmas holidays. In the video uploaded by @eli_and_mom, the boy and his mom requested their community to raise funds not only for Carey's class but also for other kids. The mother said, "We just think it's important for kids to feel like they're loved and know that people care about them."

The comment section loved this sweet gesture. @messybunlife46 was touched by the children's response and wrote, "Those sweet babies...Saying thank you and meaning it with no prompting.
