Sweet dad shows up at 38-year-old daughter's work to salt icy road so she doesn't slip

We love stories that restore our faith in humanity. Small acts of kindness go a long way and deserve to be appreciated, don't you agree? Take this story about a sweetheart dad. Elizabeth Bautista Boyd of Oklahoma experienced something incredible from her father. Boyd posted photos of her father’s act of kindness on Wednesday. What did he do exactly? Since the roads were frozen he wanted to make sure his daughter was safe. It doesn't matter that she's a 38-year-old woman. He still wanted to be there to protect her. So much so he drove up to her workplace and poured salt over the path from her vehicle to the front door of her building. Why? So that she wouldn't slip and fall on the icy road! Do such wonderful people really exist in the world? While it's easy to turn cynical these days, it's heartwarming to know that some people remain kind no matter what and perform small acts of kindness that mean SO much more. 

Elizabeth Bautista Boyd wrote on Facebook: "You guys… THIS IS MY DAD. He drove to my workplace and waited on me to arrive so he could pour a trail of salt from my vehicle to the front door of my building so that I, his 38-year-old daughter, wouldn’t slip and fall on the ice…My heart y’all… Love you daddy."

She posted pictures of her darling father with a bag of salt in hand where he was seen carefully scattering salt across the icy road. The kind gesture resonated with many people across the world. The post so far has over 148,000 reactions and over 153,000 shares at the time of the publication.

Many people began sharing their own personal stories. While some admitted that their dads would probably end up laughing if they fall, others said their dads would do the same. Kendra Christian Cosey joked: "Where are y’all finding these kind of parents? Please let me know because I want one. I slipped and fell and my mom laughed." Crystal Cashion added: Too precious! My dad would’ve waited in the bushes nearby for me to bust my rump, so he could get it on camera. A few even remembered their late fathers. Teresa Burkhart shared: So Happy you still have your Dad mine has been gone 15 years I miss him everyday."

Qiana Michelle added: "My dad Louis Raysor. RIP he was the best!!  ....funny thing he’s still caring for me sending down blessings. This is awesome." Others were grateful for having similarly kind people in their lives. kerryceleste23 said: "Both my husband and dad, on different occasions, have found my car in the parking lot at work to clear off the snow/scrape the windows after a snow storm." missmarcidarling shared: "This is something my dad would do! I never got into a cold car in my teen years -- he always warmed it up for me."
