Fatherhood is like being a superhero without a cape - it takes effort and when done rightly, ends up positively impacting kids' lives. Every day is a new adventure filled with sticky hands and unsolicited life lessons and a good dad has the patience to deal with it all. Amidst the chaos, there’s an undeniable joy in those little moments and the dads who savor those moments surely deserve a pat on the back. Recently, one such great dad who goes by u/RCampR6 on Reddit got the appreciation he deserved from a fellow dad at the campsite, who left him a sweet note.

In their post titled, "Windshield note" the dad shared a picture of the short yet lovely note. "Bro," the other dad addressed him and continued, "‘I camped in the spot behind you last night. Let me just say you are killing it as a dad." The man was so impressed by how this dad and his family navigated the whole camping experience without being messy or too unbearably annoying. "First off, I watched your wife guide you in as you backed up your trailer and nailed it on the first try without any yelling," the first compliment read. Then, he went on to appreciate the way the kids behaved.

"Then your kids unloaded the truck and were mild-mannered and well-behaved," the letter read. The fellow dad was so impressed by the family having a cheerful time at the camp. "You told stories around the campfire and I had the pleasure of listening to the sounds of giggles and laughter," the dad said. He finally added, "From one dad to another, you are killing it. Keep it up." But the appreciation didn't end there. He quipped in the end, "PS: Whatever you cooked for dinner smelled delicious!" So, one user u/Baltisotan curiously asked what they cooked and the dad replied, "Bacon-wrapped hot dogs and grilled vegetables." This note went wildly viral on the platform and it both amused and touched the hearts of several users.

"Man. Best feeling in the world. I try to extend these types of compliments as much as I receive them. Dads need to support each other," said u/FamousSuccess. "Can we normalize this? Why don’t all of us make it a thing that dads feel like they can and should do for other dads in real life?" remarked u/Washingtonpinot. "This is how we turn things around in this crazy world. Firstly being awesome dads and secondly recognizing other awesome dads when we see it. Congrats on crushing it bro, and kudos to the brave soul who penned the letter," added u/mujaban.

Another thoughtful dad shared insightful tips on how to make camping fun for toddlers. Mike - who goes on Instagram by @thewaltonadventure- the dad of 2-year-old Becca has some interesting and entertaining activities to keep one's toddler engaged amid nature. The father-daughter duo pack their bags, go on to hike and find a camping spot. An excited Becca was watching and learning the process of setting up the tent and getting ready for bed outdoors. They started a fire, made dinner, played, threw rocks in the water and the dad gave her a piggyback ride. This dad-daughter bonding is to die for.
