The Earth's southernmost region, Antarctica stands as a crystalline fortress of solitude and is called "The White Continent" for its gorgeous ice-covered landscapes. While it's obvious that the continent is almost entirely covered in ice all year, have you ever wondered what midnight looks like in Antarctica during this time? Well, internet sensation Matty Jordan (@mattykjordan) who often shares content about living in Antarctica, recently shared how the place looks like at midnight.

The 24-second video that has now gone viral, begins with Jordan showing the time,12.06 am on his phone. Following that, he takes his viewers outside his house and gives a sneak peek of the unbelievable "midnight sun." In the bright sunlight, Antarctica looked just picture-perfect. As explained by Jordan through captions, this beautiful phenomenon is called the "midnight sun" and the sun will be visible until February 2025. He wrote, "We currently have midnight sun. The next sunset isn't until February." Moreover, Jordan said that before they again experience sunsets, the "Sun just circles the sky."

Once he was outside, Jordan was greeted by the mesmerizing sight of sea ice, frozen ocean—and a view towards continental Antarctica.
