It is sometimes amazing to see the generosity among people in the world. The acts of kindness they do in order to show their gratitude and love for a person. So did these students from a school. They gifted their janitor a car because they did not want him to walk to school every day. In a video shared on Reddit by u/UnitedLab6476, a few students can be seen blindfolding the janitor and then giving him a small red box, asking him to check if something is in there. He says, “I don’t feel anything.” Then, another student takes out the key from the car and puts it in the box and asked to check again. He finds the key. A student asks him, “Are you ready to know what it is?” Mr. Joe responds, “I sure am.”

That’s when another student tells him, “Mr. Joe, we appreciate all your hard work. Students came together and got you little something. We know you have been walking to school for the past 4 years. We are graduating and we just wanted to show you our appreciation. You never have to walk again.”

Joe removes his blindfold and says, “Oh my god, what is this?” He gets a response, “That’s your car, Mr.Joe.” They ask him to check it out. A student says, “All yours, Mr. Joe, you never have to walk again. It’s your car.” He is unable to believe it. The janitor then asks, “School gave this? You guys gave this? Who gave this? A student says, “Us, we came together, put together some money. All the kids love you.” The video ends with him hugging the students.

The video is captioned, “Students pool funds to get a car for the janitor so he doesn't have to walk.” It has more than 27,000 upvotes. Many Reddit users were emotional seeing what the students did for school staff. u/SpongeJake commented, “I was doing ok with this video - right up until I saw how painful his walk is, and realized he walked that painfully every day for four years. And the students had such empathy and respect for him. Then came the tears. This is such a beautiful thing they did.” u/Fotomaki commented, “Those kids and this man will remember this feeling forever. Nice to hear about kids doing great things!” u/tlwr commented, “Amazing. Every one of the people involved in raising these young kids deserves a toast. And as for these young kids, you brought tears to my eyes. What an amazing selfless gift ❤️"

However, many Reddit users were worried about the wages Joe received and if he will be able to pay for the maintenance and insurance of the vehicle. u/underated_ambecile commented, “This is awesome, but I can’t help but think this is another example of, x person should already be able to afford a necessity bc they are paid a respectable living wage.” u/Trygolds commented, “This is a tragic situation. The man should just be earning a living wage and we should have better public transportation. He should not need the charity of children.” u/cookiemunchkin commented, “I really hope the insurance or like the registration isn't a huge setback for him. Aside from that, you see a lot of people who do giveaways furor views but this felt very genuine and I loved it."
