Damien Fagiolino whispered, 'I can't believe you guys got my album'

Receiving love and respect from one's students is one of the most rewarding experiences a teacher can have. Damien Fagiolino, a teacher and lead singer of the trash rock band FELICITY (@wearefelicity), was genuinely touched by his students' reaction after they found out he was in a band. Fagiolino tried to quiet down his classroom when one student showed him his own album. What they did next left Fagiolino's jaw on the floor. The video was shared on October 1, 2026, and it received 22,000 likes, 341 comments, and 438 reshares.
Fagiolino thought it was going to be a normal day at school, but his students wanted his attention. They were shouting over one another, so he had to keep repeating, "I can't hear." One of the students came up and quietly said, "I have your album." Surprised, Fagiolino asked him where he had gotten his album from, but then the student asked, "Can we sing 'The Weather?'" which was one of FELICITY's songs. Fagiolino asked his class if they wanted to sing his band's song, and the students erupted in agreement. He whispered, "I can't believe you guys got my album," then addressed the students in a louder voice, "Alright, let's see how this goes. Wow!"
Right on cue, the whole classroom began belting out 'The Weather' chorus: "I can feel you changing from a hundred miles away / So I board my windows up and hide someplace safe / I feel you come for me and I know that I messed up / But I hope you'd forgive me, love." Fagiolino was speechless, watching his entire class sing. He looked at the students in awe. When they were done, he slowly clapped and said, "That was incredible."
Teaching can be a highly stressful job but also a deeply satisfying profession. A 2022 Gallup Poll survey discovered that K-12 education workers had the highest burnout rates (44%) in the country. This was followed by college or university teachers (35%). Despite the job's high pressure, another University of Phoenix survey found that 88% of K-12 teachers were happy with their decision to become educators. 68% would even recommend the job to others. When asked why they would recommend the profession to others, 68% said that "the ability to profoundly affect students' lives" was the main reason. Fagiolino's happiness was evident when his students began singing his band's song.

Netizens felt the warmth and closeness of Fagiolino's relationship with his students. @liatarisuseno wrote, "They respect and love you, bro! How lucky!" @mielyluna__ added, "Anyone who makes music dreams of hearing their song sung by a room full of people. Love this for him."
