Anyone who has written with chalk will know how much of a mess it can be. A teacher on X, @linguistMasoud, also doesn't like using chalk because of its powder falling on his hand. He put up a post on X that showcased an ingenious solution for this problem gifted to him by one of his students. The heartwarming post has 1.3 million views and 97K likes on the social media platform.

He wrote in the caption, "One of my students noticed that I don't like to get chalk on my hands and use napkins to hold the chalk, so he got me this mechanical-pencil-like chalk holder thingy." The teacher had no idea that such a device existed and felt quite grateful to have it. In the picture, we can see the pencil-like rod, which the teacher can attach chalks to and write on the board, eliminating any chance of the dust getting on his hands.

People appreciated the student's thoughtful gesture and shared their thoughts in the comments section. @pinkprincessin1 commented, "I love this for you and you have wonderful students! Those are really nice chalk holders. Enjoy them and use them in good health."

@HappyBbirdNinja shared, "All my teachers used them. Didn't realize they weren't a staple in the classroom anymore. You have lovely students." @efransenmusic said, "Those things are gold. I bought one for myself and strategically hid it from the rest of the faculty for all 4 years of my last job." Another individual, @Wells_S_Hansen, inquired, "People still write on a chalkboard with chalk? I don't think there are many (any) chalkboards left in the developed world?" @Chattythoughts expressed, "He even got you the good ones! You don't do this for a professor you don't like! Speaks to your character. Good on both of you!"

Teachers also impact their students' well-being through simple gestures. Risha Allen, an elementary teacher, shared a video on TikTok performing a song for her students at North Dakota School before Christmas break. The heartfelt song resonated with many teachers and students. She started by singing, "When we send you off for Christmas break, we hope that you'll get gifts."

In her song, the teacher expressed hopes that her students would also receive love and safety during the holiday season. She wished that all her kids had plenty of food and full bellies. She continued, "But if you don't, just hold on, and soon you'll be back here and we'll make sure you get all that after New Year." The teacher's lyrics struck a deep chord with many. One of the users, @itsmisslinda, commented, "This is the most real thing about teaching. It's such a horrible feeling knowing that our kids may be going into a dark forest over winter break."
