A man joined a random Twitch stream and soon realized the woman behind it was facing more than just everyday challenges. She was living with a rare skin condition, out of work, and unsure how she and her partner would pay rent. That’s when he decided to step in, and it led to something neither of them expected. Mr. Kind, aka Karve, who goes by @karvetv on Instagram, posted a clip from the stream that showed the young woman, Hannah, known to her viewers as "bananaisahannah," talking about her situation. The video, posted on Sep 14, has garnered 8.1 million views and one million likes so far.

In the stream, Hannah shared how her condition, which causes painful open wounds, made physical labor impossible. "I was born with it. There is no cure for it," she explained, adding that both she and her partner, Noah, were unemployed. "I don’t know how we’re gonna make rent in two months," she added. But what moved Karve most was seeing Hannah’s fundraiser for her mom. The campaign, titled "Family in Crisis: AC and Power Out," showed only $1,155 raised of an $8,000 goal. Hannah explained that her mother had worked as a nurse for 25 years before becoming disabled and unable to keep up with bills.

That’s when Karve decided to donate $7,000 on the spot. Hannah was stunned and visibly in tears. "Uh. What. Oh my gosh," she said live on stream, and before the moment could even sink in, another community member dropped a $5,000 donation. Hannah, still gasping, called her mom immediately. "Hi, my Easter bunny," she said with a shaky laugh. "The chat wanted me to call you so that I could tell you that somebody just donated $7,000 to your company… and then just tipped me $5,000." Her mom’s voice cracked with emotion. "Are you for real? I’ve been praying and praying. I’m waiting for the Lord, and here it is. I’m so proud. I love you."

Later, Hannah shared her gratitude in the caption, saying, "I am unbelievably grateful to you and your community. I still can’t believe that it’s real. Thank you for blessing my mom and me. I hope and pray the Lord allows you to continue to bless others." People who saw the video were just as moved and filled the comment section with best wishes for Hannah and her family. @taufik_laksana commented, "How can someone work for 25 years as a nurse and in her retirement days can’t keep up with bills? It shouldn’t work like that, especially after taking care of so many people."

What the commentator said is also backed by research, with studies showing that even long-serving nurses often find themselves financially unprepared for retirement. A 2023 cross-sectional study of nurses in Turkey published in the International Journal of Health Services Research and Policy found that even those who were technically qualified for retirement often delayed it because they were economically unprepared. Many worried they wouldn’t have enough savings or income to cover even their basic needs.

This is making a difference." @piscesactlike added, "They deserve free healthcare and to be able to provide for themselves. This is so sad." @dagr8ashbe said, "I’m poor and antisocial as all heck, but if I find/have money to throw to everybody and anybody that needs it, best believe I imma help them out. Bless you, Karve."
