Kids love their stuffed toys too much. They will carry it around everywhere and keep it with them when they are sleeping or doing anything else. It is like their best friend. So when they lose it, it feels like their world has fallen apart. That's what happened to a 4-year-old who lost his teddy called Ted in New York while he was traveling. His mom, Beth Hughes—who goes by @bethamberhughes on TikTok—posted a video about it on TikTok and hundreds of people began looking for him.

In the first video that Hughes posted, she shared that Ted has been with Archie since he was born. They used Ted to show the boy how much he grew every month. "He became Archie's comfort, he sleeps with him every night and he's been through every stage Archie's been through with him," wrote the mom in her video along with pictures of the boy with the teddy since he was a baby. That is why they let him take Ted with him for a vacation in New York and unfortunately, he lost him at Times Square.

The family tried to trace Ted using Ted's pictures but couldn't find the toy. "Archie's heart has absolutely broken in front of us, seeing him cry about getting on the plane in New York because 'Ted will be so scared without me mummy' was heartbreaking," wrote the mom. She ends the video hoping that someone will find Ted. The video amassed about 12.5 million views. Many commented that they were trying to find Ted. @rbelen26 commented, "I work in NYC!!!! I’m making it a mission to find this bear!!!!! #bringteddyhome." @abbiet26 wrote, "Saving this because I fly to NYC tomorrow." @deanakovatas shared, "My hubby works in NYC I’ll have him look all around for Teddy." @rebeccadavies59 said, "I’m a UK-based flight attendant if anyone finds Ted in NYC I’m happy to take Ted on my flight home to reunite with this family. #bringteddyhome."

Some people suggested that they could send postcards to show that Ted is traveling in different places till he is found. The mom was up for it and shared their address to receive the postcards. However, a kind stranger on the internet wanted to give away a similar-looking teddy that the person had. In the next video, the mom opened the parcel for her son with the teddy and the child couldn't hold back his excitement. The video begins with the text overlay, "As many of you know, we lost Archie's beloved Ted when we were in New York. The kindness Archie has been shown from literal thousands of people who don't even know him has blown us away."

Hughes then reads the note on the parcel, "To Archie, I'm having so much fun in New York that I sent my cousin." The caption reads, "A very kind lady on TikTok contacted me to say she had a very similar teddy sitting in her loft and she'd love to send him to Archie as 'Ted's cousin.'" As the mom opens the package, Archie begins to jump and then grabs it and runs away to show his dad. The text overlay reads, "I can't explain how much this means to Archie, and us as his Mum and Dad."

My friends and I all searched Times Square last week to no avail. So glad to see him smile." @foreversarahhh said, "Oh my gosh!!!! His happiness!!! The little dance! It’s 9 am here in my town just south of New York and I’m bawling. How sweet!!!!"
