'3 years later we are married...'
Kaitlyn Drew, who goes by @kaitlyndrew on Instagram, was randomly filming herself when a woman approached her, asking if she was single because her brother thought she was cute. The surprising encounter seemed random until Kaitlyn ended up marrying the same guy the stranger had mentioned back in their first meeting. The video has gained over 19 million views since it was published on May 30, 2025.
"I am sorry! I don't mean to intrude on you," the woman began, as she proceeded to ask Kaitlyn about her relationship status. Kaitlyn, who looked a bit confused because panicked, but confirmed she was single. The woman, equally awkward, went on to ask about her Instagram handle, and Kaitlyn responded while trying to hide the camera. After a brief interaction, the woman left, but not before apologizing again for putting her in an uncomfortable situation. "3 years later we are married and have a beautiful daughter," Kaitlyn wrote in the caption.

Hours after sharing the flashback video on Instagram, Kaitlyn shared another clip, clarifying that the woman she met at the gym wasn't her husband's sister. So, Kaitlyn had just moved to the city after a breakup, joined the gym, hoping it would help her heal sooner. Interestingly, she was previously in some other gym but changed when she found that a "girls-only section" here. On that particular day, Kaitlyn wasn't really in a good state of mind, so when she saw her now-husband staring at her, she ran into the women's section to avoid any kind of interaction. But, now, the man who was really attracted to her asked a friend of his to approach Kaityln on his behalf.

Kaitlyn's husband definitely fell for her the minute he saw her, coming in the bracket of 60% of individuals, according to a report by the Cleveland Clinic’s Health Essentials. Perhaps that's why he didn't hesitate to ask his friend to approach Kaitlyn when he himself couldn't.
Meanwhile, echoing the sentiments, a person @travelingwithnichole said, "You and 'the' sister are inseparable besties, aren’t y'all? Because she would’ve had to be my bestie for life after meeting her like this lol." A user who goes by @quietteaparty wrote, "I think I need a sister. It would be so cool to have a wingman too, or maybe to help out my mutuals." @thebossywife shared, "I started dating my husband because his sister, when she was in high school, came up to me to tell me her older brother thought I was cute. It has been together 16 years now! Little sisters for the win!"
On the other hand, @mikeym4070 commented, "Wingwomen are way better than wingmen. Happy for you, both!" Another user who goes by @chillouteva shared, "My sister had a crush on the boy who worked at the local drugstore, and she would always tell me about him, and she would make small trips for no reason to see him. She never spoke to him & she was too shy to ask him for his number. So, I teased her about it and went in and did it for her. He had been crushing on her, too. They’ve been together for almost 2 years now, and they’re extremely happy. He treats her like a princess." Similarly, @vlad_mdm0 shared, "My friend pretended to be gay so he could get me my now wife’s Instagram because they worked together and I didn’t have access to their workplace and they had different shifts. We’ve now married for 3 years and have 2 beautiful kids."
