Stay-at-home mom has a full-time nanny to support her and it shows how difficult it is to raise a child

Stay-at-home moms do not get the credit that they deserve. They are full-time managing the kids, planning their activities, and doing household work. They can't even take a break when they want to. A mom on TikTok went viral when she shared her daily routine as a stay-at-home mom and that she has a full-time nanny. 

Jen Miller, the TikTok user @jenamillerco, shared a video in which she explains a day in her life. She also talks about why she and her husband hired a full-time nanny for their daughter even though Miller is a stay-at-home mom. "For seven years, I have run my own business so I decided to take some time off from clients and focus on a few other projects. My husband runs a start-up so he puts in long hours and works 7 days a week," the mom starts the video. She can be seen waking up around 5 am and exercising in the video.

The mom adds that they live in Austin and they do not have any family members around so their nanny offers the support that they need. Miller then shares that after they had their daughter, she and her husband decided that he will be taking care of the financial responsibilities and she will do whatever else is needed for the family.

Talking about her schedule, she says that she takes care of the child until their nanny arrives around 8 am. Then she heads to her office at home. “I run our house like I ran my business,” she explains. “Using project management software to stay on top of all operations from daily to dues to planning travel, managing our Airbnb, working on our shared side hustle, scheduling social and volunteer time, and carving out hours for admin, errands, household and creative work.” The mother then reveals that their nanny leaves at 4 pm and she is "back at her mom duties." She cooks dinner, gives her daughter a bath, and then puts her to bed.

The video concludes with her enjoying a pizza while watching television on her couch at 7:30 pm. It garnered more than 2 million views. The video is captioned, "Our nanny spends 40 hours a week with our daughter, but so do I. It’s a full-time job and having help lets me show up as the best mom I can be, with more patience, energy, and excitement for the time we spend together.”

Many parents were supportive of the mom having a nanny after seeing her schedule. @moneymaniave commented, "The minute you said you run a business, I understood the nanny. You’re a work-from-home mom. But for Sahm, I also understand a part-time nanny." @mafiabellaxo wrote, "It's crazy people don’t see a SAHM mom as a job. If you outsource the responsibilities to a nanny you pay them. So obviously it’s a job. This is amazing!" @brookleebrooklee said, "My nanny spends 40 hours with our daughter, but so do I.” That just blew my mind. I have so much guilt about leaving my kids with someone else."
