Son's emotional call to father declaring his pure and honest feelings moves the internet to tears

Having a father figure in life means a lot. They stand like a shield for their family but often, due to societal limitations, can not showcase their emotions. Therefore, when in a viral video, a son took the first step and decided to be vulnerable with his father on a call, everyone's hearts turned into mush. It opened a floodgate of emotions from the father's side. The son called his father as a part of a dare game played by popular creator AchieveYou (@toachieveyou) on TikTok. The moment the creator asked the boy to call someone he loved to express his feelings, he did not take a second and chose his dad. The conversation was so emotional that anyone watching it is bound to reach out to their phones and call their Pops.

In the video, the creator approached a boy in the library while he was reading. He gave the boy a proposition, "Dare 1 or Dare 2." The boy went on to choose Dare 1. The dare was to "Pick up the phone. Call a loved one and tell them you loved them." The boy immediately dialed his father's number on the phone. He started the conversation in a casual tone by saying, "Hey, what's up, Dad?" Both of them enquired about their plans. His father was gearing up to watch a game while the son was preparing for an exam. The father also asked him how he was doing in the classes, to which the son replied that "he was doing good so far."

After beating around the bush, the son finally blurted out, "I just wanted to call you to say that I love you." The emotions in the father's reply after the declaration were evident. He replied, "Oh well, that's awesome, buddy. I love you too. Thanks for doing that." Once it was out of his mouth, the boy did not want to stop his declarations and repeated, "I love you more." It pushed the father to the edge and he said, "You are going to make me cry." The father appreciated this gesture a lot, which seemed to have made his day better infinitely.

The guy, too, called his dad and told him, "I love you." In this instance, the father was taken aback and constantly enquired why his son had called him to say, "I love you." It was so out of the blue that he feared something wrong must have happened. However, ultimately, he appreciated his son's efforts and replied, "I love you too."
