Dad worked 15 years as a security guard at a fancy hotel. His son finally took him there as a guest.

Twenty-five years after his dad stopped working as a security guard at a five-star hotel, the man took him there for dinner. It was a proud moment for the family.

Sometimes, a simple moment can carry immense significance, marking just how far someone has come in life. For Aryan Mishra (@desiastronomer on X), that moment came when he had the chance to take his parents to dinner at the very same five-star hotel where his father once worked as a security guard—25 years ago. He shared this heartwarming experience on social media, touching millions.

"My father was a watchman at ITC in New Delhi from 1995-2000; today I had the opportunity to take him to the same place for dinner," wrote Aryan. He shared a photo of himself and his parents at the restaurant, just before they were about to have dinner, leaving the internet in complete awe of what he had done for them. The family also wore matching bibs, probably provided by the hotel, which seemed to draw attention online. The post received more than 2.5 million views and over 70k likes.

Beaming with joy, the family posed for a photo before their meal, capturing a moment of pure happiness. The post resonated deeply with people, who flooded the comments with their own stories of giving back to their parents. Many expressed admiration for Aryan’s thoughtful gesture, celebrating the love and gratitude reflected in his act.

@talkingsarad wrote, "Awesome, Aryan, Let's love our parents. Parents make all sacrifices for their kids' growth and future. Kids, when they grow, they need to repay that with love and care to their parents. I have not seen God, but I have seen my parents!" @Tamal0401 commented, "This is so beautiful. You make me long for my Baba all the more. I had always imagined this, taking Baba to the best food places. Since we couldn’t afford it when I was growing up. But God had other plans. I can afford a dinner or two or many now but I can’t afford to take Baba for the same dinners, ever anymore!" @HimUpreti remarked, "Love this! Taking my parents on their first international trip was a dream come true. From the serene hills of a small town in Uttarakhand to the vibrant streets of Singapore—seeing their wonder & joy reminded me how far we've come."

@PaiRaveen shared, "God bless you, Aryan. My father too worked at Maurya from 1993, first as a cashier and then as a night auditor till the 2000s. He was promoted as Manager & transferred to Ooty, his first manager posting after that we were blessed to stay across the country under the ITC BRAND." @jasuja expressed, "I am so proud of you (not that this matters) but the pride in their eyes is a reflection of all their hard work to make this happen. Please continue making others' dreams come true with your hard work to create opportunities for others to rise and shine." @shadesUffGrey said, "This is a beautiful moment. I am curious though as to why you are all wearing an apron?"
