Son has a heartwarming reaction after dad jumps into pool and tells him that he is finally adopted

Family is the backbone of a person’s sense of security, safety and motiveless affection. It is the fallback that we all need and deserve. Many families are born and bonded by blood, but some remarkable bonds happen without any blood relation. It is purely based on the feeling of love and admiration that overpours from our hearts. In Sacramento, California, the bond between a stepfather and stepson deepened with the final seal of approval for adoption and the duo had a heartwarming moment of celebration.

A video shared by Chris Overton - who goes on TikTok by @ovewon- shows the family spending a nice, sunny day in their pool when the father decides to break the news to his 7-year-old stepson, Jameson. The video shows the father-son duo splashing around in the pool and having fun. Jameson then asks his dad to let him go to the other side of the pool and that’s where the surprise awaits. 

The little boy, floating around in his swim ring, has no idea that his entire life is about to change for the better. His dad says, “I got news for you, come here!” Jameson suspects that his dad might be calling him to just throw him inside the pool and out of his swim ring. He yells, “No! No, you’re not throwing me in!” To eliminate any fears of facing the cold splash of the pool water, the mother reassures him that he will not be thrown in the pool. The father then reiterates that he’s not going to throw Jameson in the pool and asks him, “Guess what?” The boy eagerly replied, “What? What?!” The dad then announces softly, “I’m your dad now!”

Jameson quickly jumps onto his dad for a tight hug and the father-son duo embraces the emotional moment for quite some time. The little boy, overcome with emotions, cries tears of happiness while his father strongly holds on to him. The two are completely immersed in the beautiful moment when the father says, “It’s over buddy” and then they bump their foreheads together.

Jameson’s elder brother can be seen in the background proudly smiling and letting his younger brother have his special moment. This heartwarming video has gained 1.2M views and over 105K likes. Moreover, it aptly defines the bonds that can be formed with one another despite not being related by genes. Appreciation for the moment poured into the comments section as people were left smiling and filled with happiness for Jameson.
