Not everyone is blessed with a healthy and carefree life. Sometimes, illness takes over to ruin our and our loved ones' happiness. But even after all the losses and heartbreaks, at times, the deceased ones leave behind something special for people whom they loved with everything they had till the end. One man took to Reddit to share one such example of a mother's love, which never faded away even if her life did. Reddit user u/MattGald posted a snapshot of a handwritten letter and captioned it, "A letter from my mom that I found after she passed away from cancer."

The son made yet another heartbreaking reveal in the post, where he revealed that his dad is also battling cancer in the ICU and times are really difficult for him. "I miss her every day and this makes me cry. But I cry with a smile on my face. Just remember to tell the people you love how much they mean to you. And remind them every day that you love them," he wrote on the post before sharing the letter, which was jotted down in crooked handwriting.

His deceased mother hoped that one day her son might find the letter and he fortunately did. "I hope you knew how much I loved you. You have the kindest soul of anyone I knew," the mother wrote in her letter. She mentioned that her son had left his job and he didn't have a source of income, but he did it to make sure she had someone who could take her to her treatments. "I hope and pray that you are close to Kristie and Kyle. Family is everything," she reminded him through her written words. "I hope that you have found the person of your dreams and that you are happy and content in your life because you deserve it."

The letter gets even more emotional when the mother mentions how one of the best times she had spent in her life was at a location called "Grounds for Sculptures" with her son. She hopes that he will always remember it. The mother promises that she will always watch over him and that she has feared losing him more than her own death. "You were the best son ever! Until we meet again. I love you eternally," the letter concluded. The Reddit community came together to shower their condolences and praise the son for being there with his mom till the end.

I'm sorry for your loss, but as long as you have love in your heart for her, she will always be with you. A mother and son's connection will never fade away." u/jgasbarro commented, "As someone who also lost their mom to that awful disease, this makes me ugly cry. They just grow up too fast. I have a tattoo on my arm that's a photocopy of a letter she wrote to me once. Helps me get through the bad days."

u/Traditional_Ideal613 shared a personal story and wrote, "Matt, thanks for posting. I lost my wife to cancer after 33 years of marriage. We have a daughter who's 22 now and they were so close just like you and your mother. I cry more thinking about my daughter losing a mother than for me losing a wonderful wife! I feel for your struggles as I try to put my daughter through college. My work has slowed as well and while it's under control for now, I suffer from a brain tumor. I hope your father gets better because you are at the top of his love list now." It definitely shows that we should never miss out on a chance to show our loved ones how much they mean to us.
