Sister hilariously makes brother work extra hard to get to her birthday surprise for him

Giving our loved ones a surprise feels great, the element of shock on the receiving end always makes the effort worth it. Not only that, people usually go to extreme heights while planning a surprise, especially during birthdays, as a straightforward way of gifting has been done a billion times. Similarly, a sister found a quirky way to give her brother a special gift by making him work hard to literally earn it. The sister, Lala–who goes by @lala_sadii on TikTok–decided to wrap a bundle of cash under many layers to annoy her sibling.

"Giving my older brother $2,000 for his birthday but making him work for it a little," the text overlay on the video read. It began with Lala showing the stack of money to her followers while hatching the mischievous plan. The influencer revealed that she'd come up with the idea of the bizarrely multi-layered gift wrapping, making it annoying for her brother, Sari, to open it.

After packing the money in two thick transparent bags, Lala covered it with gift paper before putting it into a container. Following this, she placed the stash of money inside a discarded jack-o'-lantern and then added a chocolate snack on top of it. The extensive process was completed when she kept putting the gift into shopping bags, her mother's shoebox and subsequently, a giant heat machine carton covered in the seventh wrapping layer.

People loved Lala's genius idea and shared their views on the same. @spaspopov wrote, "Nice present, but my siblings just give me headaches." @mar_tkd remarked, "The paper costs more than the gift." @ay4.luvsu added, "You're the best sister, Lala! Others hailed the idea and got inspired to mimic the unique way of gifting for their loved ones as the video crossed over 17 million views online.

In a follow-up video, Lala finally handed over the present she had planned for Sari, who seemed excited to see a giant box with a gift wrap. As he tore apart the packaging, he found the massive carton that was taken from their house garage. He opened it to find another box, and the man, in frustration, uttered while looking at his sister, "You're so cheap." While Sari got tired of uncovering all the extensive layers, Lala sneaked into the camera with her devilish smile.

Sari also could not control his laughter at witnessing his younger sister's efforts to hide various snacks for him after every other layer. At one point, the exasperated sibling guessed it to be money after throwing the jack-o'-lantern towards Lala. However, he again got confused, thinking it was a prank and that he might end up with crabs as his birthday gift.

When Sari finally got his hands on the $2,000 bills, he called it his money. "Why does it look like it's my money?" the brother joked with his sister before exchanging a hug and patting her on the head. The one-minute-long clip has been dubbed a "sweet gesture" by many online, who seemingly could not get over it.
