A mom shared how different people helped her with her kid while they were traveling by train and flight.
Traveling alone with a child is a challenging pursuit. A parent can often only survive with strangers' help and that's exactly what happened with this mom. A single mom, Gabby–who goes by @notaregularnanny on TikTok–shared how different people helped her with her kid while they were traveling by train and airplane. She shared her heartwarming interactions with the good Samaritans in a video with the text overlay, "I'm scared to travel alone with my son. We have no village to help us."
In the video, Gabby and her son are seen standing on a platform while a train leaves. In the next frame, the toddler sits on the lap of an elderly man and plays with the plane window. The text overlay reads, "What about the old man who held my son up to look out the window even though we had an aisle seat?" After this, the child is seen standing on a man's lap, playing with his cap. The boy appears quite happy. The mom shared, "What about the family that played with my son and kept him entertained while we were stuck on the tarmac for hours?"
In the following frame, the child walks around and plays with two boys at an airport. The text overlay reads, "What about the two boys who played with my son and shared their snacks while I was overwhelmed trying to find a hotel?" After this, she spoke about the most heart-warming thing that happened to her. She mentioned, "What about the Uber driver who let us stay and wait in his car for our train station alone late at night because he cared about our safety?" The driver placed his phone in a holder in front of the child and played the kids' favorite show, "Ms Rachel." The kid is also seen sitting on the driver's lap and enjoying the views outside later.
In the next frame, the child is seen pushing the luggage bag of an elderly man. "What about the sweet elderly man who played with my son even though it was late at night and I'm sure he was exhausted?" the text overlay reads. Then the child is seen drinking his milk on a train and the text overlay reads, "What about the dad who walked over a mile to the nearest grocery store to bring my son milk for his bottles because he knew we were stranded too?" Later, the child is seen playing with a man on a train. "What about the family that insisted on giving me a break during our 13-hour train ride? They told me what a great job I was doing with him alone," Gabby wrote. In the end, the mom is seen holding her son and looking outside the train. The text overlay reads, "Sometimes, it's not the village you bring with you. It's the village you find along the way."
The video garnered nearly five million views and was captioned, "Sobbing while making this video. My faith in humanity was restored after this whole experience." People in the comments were emotional after watching it. @ashleybrooks13_ commented, "I hope that Uber driver never has to worry for money ever again after that act of kindness, wow." @ayyo1983 expressed, "My childhood trauma has taught me to trust nobody. I cried my eyes out watching this because exchange of compassion and love by strangers! Thank you for healing a part of me! It is so beautiful." @loulbryant shared, "Your village doesn't have to be close by. It can be in the people you pass by throughout life, it costs nothing to be kind."
