Single mom says she's stumbled upon 'greatest life hack ever' after sharing a duplex with a single dad

People say that it takes a village to raise a child but it's hard to find a lot of helping hands these days. Single mothers and fathers have a hard time balancing between their careers and their obligations towards raising a child on their own. With daycare facilities and house help services getting more expensive day by day, one needs a serious amount of luck to find a trustworthy person to help them with their children. It seems a single mom Kelsey Will (@kelseywont on TikTok) has been the lucky one when she found what she calls "the greatest life hack ever."

In her video, Will mentioned that as a single mom, she is blessed to live alongside a single dad in a duplex. "We have all the benefits of being roommates without having to actually be roommates," Will explains. "Like we don't share a living space and have our own separate spaces but we do things for each other as if we are roommates. We’re just like built-in neighbor besties. If one of us needs something, the other person’s right there.” This dream living setup has helped Will a great deal because not only do they do chores for one another but borrow things they need at the last minute. 

Whether it is about taking out the garbage or collecting the takeout meal order, Will and her neighbor have each other's back. But that's not all. When it comes to parenting and watching over each other's kids, Will and her neighbor are actively involved in their duties. “One morning he had his daughter and it was picture day at her school and he didn’t know how to do her hair,” she recalled. “So she came over to my place at 7 a.m. and I did her hair for her. Yesterday he came in for two seconds and requested that I pop a pimple on his neck with a safety pin. There’s truly no boundaries in our friendship.”

Many people would like to think that this is the beginning of a romantic relationship between a single father and a single mother but Will clears things up in her video. “It is strictly platonic,” she explained. “There are no romantic feelings involved and although if that were the case it would be a truly BookTok-worthy storyline for sure.” The people in her comment section couldn't help but agree that Will was living the best life ever with her kid and a neighbor who was just like a roommate to her.​

Then they ended up back together & kept their own spaces.
