The Norwegian singer's forest concert took a jaw-dropping turn when a surprise men’s choir stepped in, elevating the entire experience.
Sometimes, to draw attention to pressing social issues, one must break away from traditional norms and find unconventional, effective ways. Many artists have used unusual settings as a powerful tool to connect with audiences, taking their message to the next level. Similarly, Norwegian singer-songwriter Aurora Aksnes, known simply as Aurora, took an entire concert to a forest to emphasize the importance of protecting the environment at all costs. An excerpt from her heartfelt performance singing “The Seed,” re-shared by a fan account “Amroth” (@amrothian on Instagram), showed the record producer’s surprising reaction when an entire men’s choir joined her in the cause. A widely circulating video, originally broadcast on the Norwegian TV show “HAIK,” captured the breathtaking moment, raising goosebumps for millions of its viewers across the globe.
It all began with Aurora’s typical yet thought-provoking way of incorporating elements of nature and environmentalism into her music. With her hauntingly soft voice, the singer conveyed a chilling message to the people while exploring themes of nature, self-discovery, and humanity. Furthermore, her deeply emotional and poetic lyrics resonated equally with those in the forest. Interestingly, the number of people attending the forest concert began to grow, with more and more men joining in from all sides. Notably, the 28-year-old artist was seen performing at a random spot deep within the wild forest, surrounded by trees. “That time Aurora was surprised by a men’s choir during her concert in the forest,” read the text overlay on the one-minute, power-packed excerpt.

As the Norwegian singer showcased her astounding vocal skills, the group of men, who were all wearing white shirts, started singing along. “I'm chasing the wonder. I unravel myself, all in slow motion. You cannot eat money, oh no. You cannot eat money, oh no. When the last tree has fallen and the rivers are poisoned, you cannot eat money, oh no,” they harmonized to create on-screen magic, leaving viewers totally gobsmacked by the breathtaking act.
Aurora had a comforting twinkle in her eyes when she saw the men's choir walking down the hill toward her impromptu stage. The Norwegian singer’s confidence soared to new heights as she witnessed a dramatic increase in the crowd. According to the fan’s post, the men's choir that suddenly showed up out of the blue came as a total surprise to her.
During the full performance, which was live-streamed on Finnish and Norwegian TV, as per another fan YouTube channel, Aurora received support from other artists like Fredrik Vogsborg, Magnus Skylstad, Njål Paulsberg, and Silja Sol. This was not the first time the emerging voice from Norway chose an unusual location to perform.
In October 2024, Aurora traveled to the wild Arctic seas to raise awareness about ocean conservation and maintaining sea levels. After an electrifying performance, she told her co-artist Jacob Collier (@jacobcollier on Instagram), “We need to understand that the more we interfere with, or the more we violate, nature, the lesser our chances of surviving the consequences of our actions. We already know the significant impact every choice we’ve made so far has had on the health of this planet.” Meanwhile, the footage from her “forest concert” drew widespread reactions, including from @uprightace, who commented, “I cannot imagine how absolutely otherworldly it must have been to witness that live.” @evarashiva1 suggested, “Whenever I hear her, it feels like nature is healing.”
