The internet had several thoughts on the incident; some people thought it was sweet, while others felt that there could be more to the story.
A person might like receiving an unexpected compliment from a stranger, specifically if it's a respectful one. It could brighten up their day a little bit. A woman received a similarly sweet gesture from a pilot when she was at an airport. The man simply placed a brown paper napkin with a compliment in front of her before he walked away. The woman, Steph Bohrer, didn't get to see his face, but she decided to share the sweet note online through TikTok, where she goes by @stephbohrer. The internet is now obsessed with them and wants them to get together.
"I am sitting at the airport and a pilot just placed this on my table and walked away," the text overlay of the video read. She showed the brown paper napkin that read, "I have seen the whole world and you are the most beautiful woman in it." The song "Enchanted" by "Taylor Swift" played in the background as the video went on. "I didn’t even see his face," the caption to the video read. The video received more than 21.4 million views and over 3 million likes. People shared their thoughts on the note in the comments section of the video. While some people felt that it was a sweet gesture, others had their set of suspicions about it.
@anliarel wrote, "I was like, who could be this beautiful to warrant such a beautiful compliment, but then I checked and it’s Steph Bohrer. Like yeah, duh." @flightmamanw commented, "Coming from a flight attendant and ex-pilot wife… he’s married and he uses that line every day. You’re beautiful, though." @Iamcknight123 remarked, "An anonymous compliment with no agenda is the best. He didn’t stick around, no phone number. Outwardly, it’s sweet." @popinwithjenn shared, "You ladies in the comments are smarter than me because I would be delusional and truly believe he meant this and I would search high and low for that man." @suheily_rivera_ expressed, "Pilots, the majority of them at least, act single on trips when they have a whole family back home. Don’t let it fool you, sis."
Bohrer ended up making a follow-up video to clarify a few things for people. "Hey everyone, I am the person who received this note on the napkin from a pilot at the airport." She emphasized that it was not the pilot of her flight. "I was sitting at the Atlanta airport, eating an egg and cheese sandwich with my friend Maya and this was placed in front of me." The woman read it and decided to take a little video of the cute compliment. "I didn't even see this man's face, she did," the woman said, pointing at her best friend. Her friend told her that the person was wearing a pilot's outfit and was short with blonde hair. "It was just a nice gesture. He was just giving me a compliment." She added, "I don't even know his name or signature. I don't know anything."
The woman didn't have his phone number and thought that was completely okay. "You don't have to set us up. I am good," Bohrer expressed. "It was really nice. I am probably going to frame it and put it in my house as a nice compliment that I was given. That's all it was." She pointed out how many people were analyzing the note to see if it was her handwriting. They wanted to see if she was the person who had written it. The creator explained that it was not her, just a "nice gentleman."
