She was alerted after receiving an email stating someone had logged into her account from another device.
The hacking of an online account might be a major cause of concern for anyone. It jeopardizes their privacy and the safety of crucial information stored on it. However, sometimes, one might get something good out of such a scenario. A similar situation happened to a woman known as Maddje, who goes by @maddje97 on TikTok. She was worried after someone hacked into her account. When she checked what had happened, she found a big surprise waiting for her. She shared the video with her followers, and people wanted the hacker to reach out to them as well.
"I got an email that a different device had logged into my account, and when I went to check, all of my AP Physics homework for the next few weeks was done," the text overlay of the video read. The woman looked at her computer screen in shock as she checked the account. She showed the screen to her viewers and all of her homework for quite some time was marked as completed. She wondered who did her homework but had no idea how it happened. She did not have any way of knowing who the hacker was or how to contact them.
The video ended up receiving nearly 35 million views and over 6.4 million likes. People were quite baffled about why someone would hack into a person's account and do their homework for them, while others wanted such a person to hack into their system and do their work as well. Many had a certain idea about what could have happened and shared their thoughts in the comments section.
@fenrysmate wrote, "One time, someone didn’t log off the Chromebook at school and I saw they had gotten an 80 on a Math Quiz, so I re-did it and let them have a 100, then just logged off." The creator replied that person was "what’s good in this world." @404evanotfound commented, "This kept happening to me, but instead of doing my homework, they just kept changing my Chrome background to weird stuff like human Mike Wazowski and I think about it all the time." @pandoraurel remarked, "There was a hacker on our Netflix account that watched 'Grey's Anatomy' religiously, and my mum opened him a new profile. He's still living in our account we named him Gregory."
@puddleofsadness420 shared, "I had a friend once who was struggling with geometry and I got bored, so I logged on and finished the course with an A, lol. Lockdown was a weird time." @beemergirl1 expressed, "I used to do that. It was so easy to get into school accounts. When I didn’t want the teacher to give me more work, I’d find some I’d already done and do it for someone else." Another user pointed out, "I swear I just saw a video of someone saying they logged into 'their' account just to realize it was someone else's (and did all the work)."
It turned out the 'hacker' was another girl called Sage Wilson, who goes by @sagewilsondk on TikTok. "Logged in to do my Physics homework and I did it all under some random girl's account!?" the video's text overlay read. Wilson had accidentally done Maddje's homework and requested her to send the work back and she would let her copy-paste it.
