She bought flowers for herself but ended up giving them to grieving widow in parking lot: 'Divine timing'

Simple acts of kindness can go a long way for people. From a friendly smile to a helping hand, these gestures can make a person's day go from bad to good in an instant. TikTok creator Lo (@lohojpg) shared a wholesome interaction that she had at a grocery store in a video. She walked into the store and "all the flower bouquets" for Valentine's Day caught her eye. Lo said, "There was even another lady standing there and she and I briefly talked about how absolutely beautiful they were today." The woman had a shopping list and a budget, so she decided not to get flowers, even though she wanted to.

Upon going through the store, she found out that the store had a lot of items on her list that were out of stock. She decided to buy flowers for herself instead. After getting the flowers, she returned to her car and an inner voice told her to give the flowers to the old lady she had talked to at the store. "And I'm like, 'No, I bought them flowers for myself,'" she said. Lo heard the inner voice again and decided to give the flowers to the old lady who was fortunately still at the store.

The woman revealed, "So I walk up to her and I'm just like, 'Hey ma'am, I just wanna give you these flowers. Have a nice day.' She looks at the flowers and she busts out laughing. And then her laughing turns into crying." The old lady was clearly going through a rollercoaster of emotions seeing Lo's wholesome gesture. Lo asked her if she was okay and then the elderly went on to tell her about how she used to celebrate Valentine's Day with her husband of 30 years. The woman had gotten three yellow daisies every Thursday since their first date.

"Next, she tells me that she just buried her husband last week. Cue the waterworks on my end, of course." Lo also stated that the day the incident happened was Thursday, which made the whole thing even more special for the lady. The lady told her that she had thought about buying the flowers when she walked into the store. When she saw three yellow daisies in the bouquet that Lo had bought for her, she became emotional and began to cry over the "divine timing." They parted ways soon after that and Lo reflected on how she almost did not go to the grocery store. She had been called to her workplace, which is why she opted to go to the grocery store where the old lady was also shopping.

She said, "However, had I not got called into work today, I would've gone to a grocery store close to my house." Lo concluded the video by sharing how the entire incident left her feeling very peaceful and that she wanted to share it with people on social media. People loved the gesture and shared their thoughts in the comments section. @the.thimble said, "I'm imagining her husband leading you there so she knows she is loved and I'm in tears over it."
