Seniors win hearts by giving their jerseys to teachers who had the biggest impact on their lives

Student-teacher relationships are special. Be it encouraging their students to do well in exams or supporting them through hard times, teachers wear many hats in this relationship. They are the best mentors that one could have and the time they spend with their students in school often leads to a lifelong relationship. To honor such a relationship, seniors of Westview High school gave away their jerseys to the teachers who impacted their lives the most.

The sweet Tiktok video starts with the seniors going and standing outside the classrooms of their favorite teachers with their jerseys. Then the video shows them giving it to their teachers one by one.

The reactions of the teachers are the best. Many of them were ecstatic, one even got emotional and said, "I'm going to cry, I love you." Most of the teachers hugged their students and thanked them for this beautiful gesture. 

The video soon went viral with more than 3.3 million views. Many on the internet were emotional after watching it. A user wrote, "The last one really hit me. You can see and hear that teacher's heart swell up. Ugh I'm too hormonal for this, now I'm crying!" Another said, "Had me teary-eyed and then in full tears halfway through. (also a teacher)."

Many even appreciated this school tradition. A user wrote, "What a wonderful tradition!" and another commented, "Really cool practice."

In another similar incident, a retired kindergarten teacher named Jan Pearson got the surprise of her life when the last class of kindergarteners she taught graduated from high school and paid her a visit to thank her for all that she had done. Her face lights up when she sees the first student dressed in a graduation cap and gown. Mrs. Pearson shouts, "Liz!" She jumps out of her chair and then sees the other students. She couldn't hold back her tears. She remembers all their names and hugs all of them. 

"Did you know this was happening!?" she asks her daughter who's still filming. "Oh my gosh, I love you all," she tells them, choking back tears. She was so overwhelmed seeing them do well. "Oh my god, you're all just gorgeous," she said. Hamilton chimes in, "That's your last graduating class, mama. That's your last group of kindergarteners." As her students line up beside each other in her garden, she tells them she wants a picture with all of them. Speaking to Viral Hog, Pearson's daughter said, "A student from the graduating class of 2022 contacted me because she wanted to get a group of former students together to surprise her. My mom's passion was her career and her job was everything to her. She made special memory books for each child that she bound and presented at the end of the year to each student. She truly was a one-of-a-kind teacher. She deserves this recognition."

"Love her husband watching in the background.... so sweet," added another. "I am shocked that they remember her! I don’t remember any teachers I had before high school," wrote another. "Love this! I teach kindergarten and only hope my students will remember me like this! She must have been extraordinary!" commented another person.
