One of the many couple goals that some find cute is coordinated outfits. Tsuyoshi and Tomi Seki (@bonpon511) are pros in this matter. The pair has been dressing in chic matching outfits and sharing their fashion on Instagram—where they have over 900,000 followers—since 2016. The Japanese couple has been married for 43 years and their strong bond is evident in their way of putting together and matching shirts to dresses, jackets to sweaters, and many other ensembles.

Tsuyoshi and Tomi have a unique fashion sense and they frequently dress in outfits with bold prints and pops of color. So, it's no surprise that the couple met while attending art school in Tokyo. Their relationship has since blossomed and they have one daughter. She was the one who encouraged them to start an Instagram account to share their adorable matching outfits. The username @bonpon511 combines their childhood nicknames, 'bon' and 'pon,' with their wedding anniversary date, of May 11. Tsuyoshi and Tomi claim that they have always had similar fashion tastes.

What they wear is inspired by each other as well as where they are going that day, according to My Modern Met. It all began when their daughter posted a photo of her parents wearing matching outfits on her Instagram account, which quickly went viral and received a lot of likes and comments.

"She took photos of us and posted them on her own Instagram account. She received lots of comments so suggested that we start our own account," shared Tomi. Since then, the beautiful couple has not looked back. They frequently share photos of themselves standing together in matching outfits. Before they married, the lovely old couple were college sweethearts, reports News18.

Their account gained popularity in 2018. In an interview with The Guardian, Tomi stated that while being called style icons in the media makes them happy, it is not how the couple sees themselves. She stated shared that they dress in clothes that are inexpensive and simple and that they can be purchased by anyone. Despite their appearance, the couple insists they only wear clothing from low-cost brands such as Uniqlo. Tomi used to dislike wearing matching clothes because she thought it was embarrassing. However, at her current age, she does not feel that way. In collaboration with a designer, they have also launched their own line of clothing and accessories at the Japanese department store Isetan Mitsukoshi.

"Of course, we're happy to be described as style icons in the media, but that's not really how we see ourselves. We wear simple, inexpensive clothes that anyone can buy," said Tomi. "Now we're on our own and finally have the time to do all the things we didn't have the time to do when we were raising a family and working. We want to show that retirement can be a lot of fun, especially if you find something you enjoy doing together."

"But it's not just about coordinating our clothes," added Tsuyoshi. "We try to choose outfits that complement our surroundings."
