The 35-year-old entrepreneur, Patrick Collison, is hailed as a visionary. His tech predictions on AI and APIs have reportedly proven accurate.
Humans have been trying to predict the future for centuries. Whether it is the 16th-century French astronomer, Michel de Nostredame (Nostradamus), or Bulgarian Baba Vanga's posthumous prophecies, we have seen it all. Now, following in their footsteps, a billionaire from Ireland named Patrick Collison made three amazingly shocking predictions, and reportedly, all of them have turned out to be true, reports UNILAD. The CEO of the multinational software company Stripe, who now lives in California, seemingly foresaw the future and people on the internet are now curious about him.
The 35-year-old entrepreneur is a self-made businessman, and per the outlet, Collison's predictions about technology, especially artificial intelligence (AI) and application programming interfaces (API), impacting the world have proved to be gospel. The billionaire made his first prediction in 2022, emphasizing that empires would be built using AI "while we sleep." It was reiterated by the CEO of US Global Investors funds, Frank Holmes–who goes by @bulldogholmes on X.
While explaining Collison's most talked-about prophecy, the Texan philanthropist wrote, "AI would handle tasks ranging from customer service and logistics to financial management and decision-making processes without human intervention, effectively allowing operations to continue 24/7 without human oversight." Reportedly, AI trades $250 billion every day on the stock exchange, suggesting that Collison's prophecy has become real, per the outlet.

The second prediction he reportedly made was that the next big app would be built by someone with no knowledge of code. In other words, he meant democratization within the tech industry through inclusivity and the acceptance of non-technical experts from other fields. Over the past few years, several platforms, such as AppGyver, Adalo and Bubble, have popped up, allowing users to start their apps without coding, per Zapier. According to Api Days CEO Baptiste Parravicini, the no-code apps have reached $1 billion in yearly valuations. "Collison's predictions are unfolding before our eyes," he wrote in a detailed thread on X, which has gone viral with 3.6 million views.
You're looking at one of the youngest self-made billionaires ever.

Born in rural Ireland, he was too poor to afford a wifi connection.
At 20, he dropped out of MIT — by 32, he'd built a $95 billion company more valuable than PayPal.

Furthermore, Parravicini highlighted Collison's third and final prophecy in his post: "Understanding APIs will be as crucial as reading and writing." APIs won't just move data. They are giving birth to empires and it's about time they flip every industry on its head, he said in the thread, adding that tech skills are required in 90 percent of jobs today. Several people on the internet started reacting to Collison's "future prediction abilities" and many even expressed how surprisingly unreal they felt after reading about them!
2022: Collison predicts his vision of tomorrow:

1. AI will run empires while we sleep
2. The next big app will be built by someone who can't code
3. Understanding APIs will be as crucial as reading and writing
The tech world holds its breath as the digital revolution shifts…
Among the hundreds of comments on X, @Corncrackerdig1 wrote, “The Collisons are from a middle-class background. I’d imagine it was more a case of WiFi not being available in rural Ireland rather than them not being able to afford it!” "Ever wonder how someone goes from no wifi in rural Ireland to leading a $95 billion empire? There’s more to this story than just hard work. It’s a glimpse into what’s coming next in tech—and it's something most aren’t ready for," praised @theinsiderzclub.
