Yep, just another day at work for Selena Gomez and Steve Martin. The "Only Murders in the Building" stars—who are currently filming season 3 of the Hulu show—gave fans a nostalgic sneak peek on social media. According to TODAY, on March 21, Martin shared a photo of himself in a tuxedo with co-star Gomez holding his arm while dressed in a wedding dress and veil.

"Guess what just happened!" Martin captioned the photo on Twitter. The photo immediately reminded fans of the 1991 film "Father of the Bride" and its 1995 sequel, "Father of the Bride Part II," which featured Martin in the role of George Banks alongside Diane Keaton and "Only Murders" co-star and longtime friend Martin Short.

Short also jumped in on the nostalgia train and posed with Gomez in a follow-up photo. "Turns out this happened, too," Martin captioned the image. Meanwhile, the show's official Instagram page also shared the image with the caption: "Father of the Bride Part II?"

People on social media could not get enough of the wholesome interaction between the stars, with media personality @RobertBurnsTV saying, "Steve, you're going to go broke with all these weddings!" @PlentyOfFish tweeted, "Selena finally married Zayn."

There are no clues as to who Mabel (Gomez's character) will be marrying in the show. On her Instagram account, which recently surpassed 400 million followers, the singer and actress also posted pictures of herself wearing the bridal gown. "I have no caption. Just a regular day at work," she wrote.

Season three of "Only Murders in the Building" will reportedly have appearances from A-list celebrities like Meryl Streep, Ashley Park, Jesse Williams and Paul Rudd, who previously appeared in Season 2.

"For a comedy fan like myself, (working with) Martin Short and Steve Martin, that's Mount Rushmore. So to get to work with them was, I mean, I still kind of can't believe it," Rudd told TODAY. The series co-creator and executive producer John Hoffman told PEOPLE that Rudd's role "was a true bit of dream casting for us. He added: "As those who know our show know well, many twists await regarding the story of 'Ben Glenroy' in our season 3."

Gomez, 30, shares the cutest friendship with Martin, 76, and Short, 72, both on and off camera. The "Calm Down" singer admitted that she was not sure how audiences were going to react to their odd-trio murder-mystery comedy, but was pleasantly "shocked" at the warm responses.

"We have a bit of craziness," she told E! News, "and I get to be the ground of it all sometimes. That's fun." In an episode of The Hollywood Reporter's Awards Chatter podcast on June 12, 2022, Gomez said that Martin would get "really mad" when anyone expressed doubt about whether she was up to the task of acting alongside him and Short. "Steve will get super defensive of me and it's really sweet," she said.

In an interview with Deadline, Martin said he loved the idea of adding a woman of an entirely different generation to the mix and thought it was really fun. "It was three old guys and it's such a clear thought to throw a young woman into the mix. I mean, it's so obvious. And I said, Marty, doesn't qualify as a young woman."

Gomez talked about her pitch, adding that it led to a whole conversation about her obsession with true crime. "I had just come back from CrimeCon when I had the call and it just felt like it was something I wanted to do. They were all so lovely. And working with Steve and Marty would be a dream," she shared.
