Rudy Giuliani's daughter calls him out on Twitter

Growing up as a politician's child must be tough. While life under constant public scrutiny and the subsequent controversies that come with the job is willingly chosen by someone who makes a career in politics, their children inherit it the moment they are born into the family. In recent years, we've seen this play out in how Barron Trump trends on Twitter every time he makes a public appearance and the headlines that follow the Obama sisters to this day. Every look, facial expression, comment, teenage experience, and rumor becomes fodder for the tabloids while online trolls jump at the chance to tear them apart for their parents' political choices.

However, once they hit a certain age, many of them take a much more active interest in political affairs and use their platform to either support their parent's agenda or position themselves against it. Kellyanne Conway's 15-year-old daughter Claudia made quite a splash earlier this year with her unapologetically leftist and liberal TikTok videos that urged her followers to review-bomb President Trump's restaurants, hotels, and golf courses. Now, another Trump crony's daughter is making her true political affiliations crystal clear on social media even when it's at the cost of calling out her own father's lies.

Former New York City Mayor and current Donald Trump lackey Rudy Giuliani's daughter Caroline is Team Biden-Harris all the way. She recently tapped into her own experience as a politician's child after Giuliani once again backed the President's lies about Joe Biden's son Hunter. Trump took a cheap shot at Hunter's past drug use during the disastrous presidential debate on Tuesday with this false claim: "Hunter got thrown out of the military. He was thrown out, dishonorably discharged for cocaine use. And he didn’t have a job until you were vice president... he made a fortune in Ukraine and China and Moscow and various other places."

As The Washington Post clarifies, Hunter's discharge was administrative and not dishonorable as Trump claims. However, that doesn't seem to have stopped Giuliani from repeating the President's comments on Twitter, tweeting: "Biden is lying about Hunter Biden. The Biden Family made millions every place Biden was made Point Man by Obama in Iraq, Ukraine, China plus $3.5m from Putin’s ally and big bucks from Romania, Kazakhstan. Time for a Free Press to tell the truth about the Biden Crime Family."

Many jumped to respond to the tweet and among them was Caroline with a particularly close-to-home take on what her dad was saying. "Trump is the one lying about Hunter Biden. And I, for one, do not support spreading false gossip about a politician’s child. Just saying..." she tweeted. This is not the first time the 31-year-old has made it clear that she'll be casting her vote for a Democrat, come November. Following the announcement that Kamala Harris is Joe Biden’s vice-presidential pick, she tweeted out a photo of herself with the California senator with the caption: "An excellent day for a repost from this bleeding [blue heart] of mine."

Topping off the tweet with the hashtags, "#bidenharris2020" and "#removetrump," Caroline also used the traction from the tweet to share a link to donate to Biden's campaign, saying: "While there's some momentum here, a reminder to please donate to help start turning this shit around!! It’s a matter of life or (many) death(s) at this point." Back in 2016, she opened up about having different political opinions with her dad in an interview with Politico. "I love Hillary, I think she’s by far the most qualified candidate that we’ve had in a long while," she said at the time. "My dad knows. I was for Barack in 2012. He knows and is fully comfortable with it and thinks I have a right to my opinion."
