Not only was he being impatient, but he also managed to disrupt the peace and flow of shopping for the grandma-grandson duo.

A little patience never kills anyone, and when it comes to the elderly, vulnerable, or those in need, it is basic courtesy to be a little more considerate. A man who goes by u/allifriend was annoyed when a shopper was being reckless with his grandma while they were at a local supermarket. Not only was he being impatient, but he also managed to disrupt the peace and flow of shopping for the grandma-grandson duo. When he realized that the man deliberately acted the way he did out of carelessness, he decided to teach him a lesson in a creative way. The internet totally approves the comeback he posted on November 28.

The grandson explained that because things were busy at the supermarket, the carts were moving more slowly, which reduced the speed of their entire shopping spree just like it did for other customers. Unfortunately, while the duo was being patient, this reckless shopper didn’t seem to have a care in the world. “I hear a disgruntled ‘harumph’ from behind me and see some 40-something man almost ramming his way through,” he recalled. The elderly woman was holding onto the cart, and his haphazard move jostled her. “A clear accident, I would have thought, until I heard him say, ‘Some people really are rude.’ I almost did a double-take when I heard that,” he remarked.

Supermarket shopping can be boring, and many of us want to get it over with, but that doesn’t mean that we can do just about whatever to finish up. According to the Alliance of Aging, thousands of elderly people over the age of 60 are abused. This doesn’t mean just physically, but also verbally, financially, mentally, and emotionally. Assuming that they’re weak, alone, and helpless, people think they can behave in any way they like and get away with it. While the elderly may, in some cases, be unable to defend themselves, there are others to stand up for them, and this grandson proved it meticulously. He did continue shopping despite being annoyed, but when opportunity struck, he grabbed it.
“About 5 minutes later, I saw him again, walking toward the bathroom,” he recounted. He got away from his grandma for a bit and found his cart. He remembered it had a lot of water stacked in it and was able to identify it. Since the shopper wasn’t accompanying his cart, he had the perfect plan. “I wheel the cart off in the opposite direction and take it to the other side of the store and wedge it in a corner out of everyone's way near the employee entrance,” he remarked. Since the shopper was in such a hurry to finish that he just jostled an elderly person, maybe this would teach him a lesson. Right enough, when the grandson was at the checkout with his grandma, he saw the man looking confused and walking around.

I bet it took him 15 to 20 minutes to find his cart.” u/90_CRX_si shared, “I like to put random stuff in their carts. Large vegetables. Some lotion. Depending on the store, it could be something like condoms. Also, maybe something heavy on the bottom. I will literally go out of my way just to drive them insane. All just to put a smile on my face. There is never a reason to be that rude.”
