Restaurant is being applauded for iconic response to customer's heartbreaking pizza request

Small acts of kindness from strangers can leave a profound impact on our hearts. Similarly, u/user shared a post recalling the time a stranger came through for them on their birthday in the most wholesome way possible. “I had a crappy birthday, but a local pizza place had my back,” they wrote. The customer shared their unique and touching pizza order made on a lonely birthday, and the restaurant's response left thousands in awe of such kindness and warmth.

The person shared a picture of the bill where they had placed an order for a pizza with certain add-ons and other instructions. However, there was one note they added while placing the order that was heart-wrenching. “It’s my birthday today and not even my family called me. I am really sad and I really like olives,” the person wrote. They then requested that the restaurant add as many olives as they could to the pizza. “Please put on as many olives as you can. I want you to put up so many olives that you start to question mine and your sanity,” the person added. They were also careful to mention, “Please add as many olives as you can without getting fired.”

The rest of the order was quite regular with specifications, add-ons and so on. The person then shared a picture of the pizza they received shortly. To everyone’s surprise, the person had indeed ensured they put in as many olives as possible. The pizza was doused in wolves and cheese, making it pleasing to the eye and undoubtedly bringing a smile to the person’s face. The restaurant went one step ahead and added a small container with extra olives to add that extra spark to the person’s day. Along with this, they also roughly drew a cake with candles on the inside of the pizza box and wrote, “Happy Birthday.”

Commenters were smitten by the generosity of the restaurant and applauded them for their kindness and thoughtfulness.
