Reese Witherspoon's mother, Betty, sure wears confidence on her sleeve. People loved how the mom backed her claim that she saw the game between Kansas City Chiefs and Bengals. Moreover, she calls the Kansas City Chiefs "KFC" in the video call with her daughter and it's hilarious. The actor posted their conversation on Instagram, in which Betty is seen on the mobile screen talking to Witherspoon and her son, Deacon Phillippe. In the clip, the grandma recounts what she thinks was a great game between the 'KFC' and Cincinnati Bengals. The video is captioned, "Chatting football with my mom & Deacon." The video begins with the actor's mom saying, "Well, I had to watch KFC and uh,..Bengals."

Witherspoon asks her, "KFC?" She responds, "Yeah, KFC" and winks in the call. The actor emphasizes, "You mean Kansas City Chiefs?" The 47-year-old smiles and tells her son that Betty calls Kansas City Chiefs, "KFC." Then she begins to discuss the game with them. "In the last eight seconds, they kicked a field goal." Meanwhile, the actor asks Phillippe whether this game happened last night. "Yeah, it's the Dolphins and the Chiefs," says Phillippe. Betty corrects him, "No, it was the Bengals."

"The Bengals and the Titans?" Phillippe again asks his grandmom, still trying to help her recall the right game, as she claims it was "The Bengals and the Chiefs. Check it. 23-20." He continues to suggest other recent games that Betty may have watched and asks, "Bengals and Browns?" She says, "No! Chiefs!" Meanwhile, Witherspoon enjoys listening to the conversation between the two. "Chiefs! Chiefs!" Betty responds, sounding a bit irritated.

So, Phillippe asks his grandma, "When was this? How long ago?" She says, "Thirty minutes ago." He suggests to her that she might have watched a rerun. "It's not a rerun," asserts the grandmom. "The Packers are playing right now," clarifies Phillippe. He continues, "And the Chiefs played last night." "3:05 is when the game finished," Betty emphasizes. "That was like two weeks ago," reacts the grandson, but tells her, "Well, it was a great game." The grandmom concludes, "It was good. It was nail-biting."

The video went viral, garnering nearly 5 million views and 92.9K likes. It is captioned, "Go, KFC!" However, the grandmom commented on the video that Deacon was right and she made a mistake. People loved Betty's sass. @chiefs commented, "BIG KFC FAN! We love you, Grandma Betty." @mzjennieanne shared, "The way she said 'check it' - confidence at its best." @macman3679 said, "I liked the fact that Deacon was respectful to his grandmother when she was wrong about the football game she watched."

@jesskoehlerlifestyle expressed, "Deacon is a sweet soul & Grammy has the sass." @dinkyponies commented, "I love your family chatter. So down to earth and lovely. Sending love from across the pond." Phillippe continued to research the game and commented on the video, "Classic Grandma Betty (It was a rerun)." Family conversations like these are what make life worth it. People liked how Phillippe instead of arguing accepted what his grandmom had to say and took it in the right stride.
