She describes a very funny story about an incident during a flight where she ended up entertaining everyone.
Reese Witherspoon is known for her legendary roles in "Legally Blonde," "Big Little Lies" and "Cruel Intentions." She is a legendary actress and philanthropist who regularly donates and supports charitable causes. Her generous nature was highlighted recently when she was stuck in a confusing and turbulent situation. On "Late Night with Seth Meyers," she shared a very "funny story" about how she once found herself having to amuse a full aircraft of people after something went wrong in the middle of the journey, per HuffPost.
According to Witherspoon, the event happened when there were just one or two in-flight movies that everyone in the plane watched together. She said during the show, "It was a long flight, like a five-hour flight. And I walk in and they’re like, ‘The movie today is ‘How Do You Know’ starring Reese Witherspoon!’" She said, hunching over and attempting to disappear into her hair, "And I was like, ‘Oh, my God, I have nowhere to hide. This is so embarrassing.' And my kids were there too, and they’re like, ‘Oh, my God, my mom’s so embarrassing.’"
As soon as the movie started, Witherspoon claimed, "it cut out... the tape broke or something," and she found herself suddenly the center of attention. Witherspoon said, "And so I went to the front of the plane, and I got on the microphone. And I was like, ‘Hi guys, I don’t think the movie is coming back, so I’m just going to walk you beat-by-beat what happened.’" The 2010 rom-com was then recapped for all the passengers, according to Witherspoon.

Meyers said, "I just like that those people, the rest of the year, were telling people, ‘You got to fly United because the movie never finishes, but they have the star there.'" Witherspoon replied laughing, "It was actually so fun and funny to get to tell people the entire plot of my movie in like, three minutes." It's a good thing it was a light comedy like "How Do You Know" and not her 1996 film "Fear," since having to narrate that rollercoaster sequence to a full flight would have been embarrassing.
Flights are usually a place of unity as passengers come together to help each other and even celebrate their triumphs in life. An emotional and welcome surprise was presented to a cancer survivor on a flight, as shown in a video that was shared on Reddit. "This passenger on a flight is surprised by the cabin crew after they announce she is "cancer-free," Reddit user u/bendubberley_ posted with the video. "I would like to add a special welcome to a special guest in today's flight," the captain of an airplane says at the outset. The passenger is going to Hawaii today to "celebrate her victory over late-stage breast cancer," he continues. When Jyrl Oldham realizes the announcement is about her, she begins to cry. Everyone on board begins to congratulate her for her courage and fortitude.
The pilot continues, "She fought valiantly and now is cancer-free," and asks everyone to give her a round of applause. He adds, "Here in today's environment, It just makes it special that we can share that human bond to take care of each other. Everybody's a big family out there."
