To help some stray cats, one of whom was pregnant, the man decided to build a home for them, and the result was heartwarming.
While some cannot tolerate stray cats in the neighborhood, many altruistic souls adore them wholeheartedly. From leaving out food, building cozy shelters or organizing rescue efforts, these feline lovers embrace compassion toward those poor beings. They simply cannot stand the sight of the strays being hungry or suffering out in the cold. A wife, mom and cat lover, better known by @badmouthmama93 on TikTok, recently posted a video of her husband's "unmatched" empathy for their neighborhood stray cats, one of whom was pregnant. He built a makeshift home for the little furry friends and the internet was touched.
The video starts with the man walking along Walmart aisles with a large container in the shopping cart. "My husband decided at 9 o'clock at night he wanted to make some makeshift homes for the stray cats that have popped up at our house since the weather is starting to change," the text overlay read. So, he picked out a storage container from the supermarket to fabricate a cat shelter. The proud wife could not help but flaunt his kind nature, saying he has "the sweetest, most caring and loving heart" in the whole world. The man seemed pretty focused on carving out a door for the felines' new home.
"We have had a few stray cats that have popped up and one that is pregnant and due any day. He said, 'They're helpless and if we take them to the shelter, they'd euthanize them and I don't want that to happen. So, if they need a home, I'll make them one,'" the wife explained. The adorable felines were watching the man build a cute little house for them and this made his wife "fall in love with him all over again." With a door on one side and a cozy towel at the bottom, the cat home was ready and the husband had to make sure the felines would utilize it. "It worked, he was so happy," the wife said and we can see that the cats loved their new home.
The video garnered over 130K views and people can't stop gushing over how thoughtful and kind the husband was. "Thank you so much for doing this for them. These voiceless animals need to be heard and you are just an amazing human being," lauded @irenewest110. "The true character of a man is measured by how well he treats animals and women and I just... I'm chopping onions right now," said @highclasstrash. "Love this! If it gets cold, switch to winter boxes. Styrofoam boxes wrapped in black industrial trash bags and duct tape. Straw (not hay) inside. Some cities host workshops to build these," suggested @emiemz08

Another striking example of altruism would be a 93-year-old woman who transformed her room into a makeshift workshop to make beds for shelter dogs. Joan Potter spends her time making blankets and beds for canines in the shelter with scrap materials she sources from the Greater San Antonio Quilting Guild, as per KSAT news. "I just am happy to do it for them and to know that some dog is going to be comfortable. It makes me feel so good to know that they’re not going to be lying on cement or a hard floor in the winter," she said. With lovely humans like these, the lives of stray dogs or cats are a little bit safer.
