The former teacher was in tears as she saw the boy she taught in kindergarten graduate from high school.
Sometimes, we end up sharing an unexpected bond with people over the years. They may not be our relatives, but they build relationships that stand the test of time. Such people become an inseparable part of our lives and are mostly present when we achieve great milestones. In one such instance, a high school graduate who shared a strong bond with his kindergarten teacher had a wholesome moment with her on the occasion of his graduation. His mom, Jaye Watson–who goes by @jayewatson on TikTok–shared the emotional interaction online and people are crying happy tears.
As the video begins, the kindergarten teacher and the boy who just graduated high school are seen getting pictures clicked on his graduation day. The boy wore his robe with a big smile on his face, while the teacher was on the verge of tears. "He's graduating high school and she was his kindergarten teacher," the text overlay of the video read. "I am so proud of you," the teacher told the boy as she started crying. "Thank you, thank you, Mrs. Laurent," the boy said as he came forward to give his former teacher a big hug. "They've stayed close all these years," Watson revealed through the video. The caption read, "Thank you, teachers."
The beautiful video of the rare bond received over 4.7 million views and more than 973k likes. People expressed their thoughts on the video and shared their memorable experiences with their teachers in the comments. @milign11202 wrote, "I saw my English teacher at a funeral recently. She's got dementia. When I walked up, she said my name and just lit up. It was wonderful." @supervern7 commented, "I visited my kindergarten teacher on the last day of my senior year of high school in 1998. It was her last day as she was about to begin her retirement. Definitely, a core memory for us both!"
@notsydnificant remarked, "My kindergarten teacher is someone I think about every day. We are still in contact almost yearly. She supports my art now and is one of my biggest supporters. She sends me birthday wishes every year. We enter art together every year at the county fair. That woman is a saint, and I will always cherish her." @hewis3 shared, "I was close to one of my teachers for many years. When I became an adult, I asked if we could go to lunch together and he told me he doesn't do lunches with former students. I didn't see the need to maintain a phone relationship with someone I'd never see in person. We haven't spoken since. Sadly."

In a similar story, a kindergarten teacher who had been retired for more than 12 years and taught the same class in the same school for 38 years saw her last batch of graduating seniors in a wholesome video. A video of the memorable meeting was shared online by Kim Hamilton, who goes by @kimhamilton15 on TikTok. The class surprised their former teacher by visiting her on their graduation day. The woman got overwhelmed with emotion when she saw all of them. "You all are gorgeous!" she exclaimed as her students entered the house and hugged her one by one. "Even me?" a boy asked and the teacher replied in affirmative. She also took a picture with all of them in their robes.
