Proud dad cannot stop crying after learning what teachers had to say about his daughter

Parents must believe in their children because it is their belief ultimately that instills confidence, inner strength and trust in the child. A dad on Instagram celebrated his daughter and believed in her. On a parent-teacher evening, some school teachers praised his daughter with several noteworthy compliments. So, when he returned home, he thought of sharing these compliments with her. In a recent Instagram reel, digital content creator, Jay Porter (@jaymichaelporter), captured his emotional reaction on the camera as he conveyed the teachers' message to his four-year-old daughter, Rosa.

The video opens with a lovely scene where Jay combes Rosa’s hair. After a random conversation about the day, he asked her, “Do you know Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Ward told us how you were getting on?” “Doing good?” She questioned back. He said, “What do you think?” Rosa replied, “I am good at school. I packed my lunch box.” She added other items to the list, such as wiping her backside and putting her shoes on. Jay laughed. She insisted that he tell her exactly what her teachers had said about her. He paused and asked her to give him a minute because what he wanted to say made him feel emotional.

“I am so proud of you Bubba,” he said as he gently brushed a comb through her hair and then revealed what the school teachers had said. “The first thing they said is that Rosa is such a joy. Such a beautiful, lovely, kind,” he told Rosa and then took a pause. She attempted to complete his statement with some appreciative words for herself, “A lovely friend and a lovely girl.” At this point, tears rolled down Jay’s eyes. He wiped them on his sleeve. “They said you’re so polite. They just think you’re brilliant. You’re so well-behaved. You listen. You’re kind,” he said in a shaky voice. Hearing his voice, Rosa interrupted and asked, “Am I making you cry?” He gave out a teary laugh and then whispered, “Yeah!”

The lovely video has garnered more than 2 million views. In the comments section, people couldn't stop swooning over the beautiful bond between Jay and his cute little daughter. “It’s the best feeling in the world,” commented @foster1811. @onelife2015 said, “Moments like this are priceless!” @alarue907 reflected, “I can see why. She is being nurtured, loved and spoken to by her parent. No TV on, no distractions. Just wholesome parent-child bonding.”

Many people praised Jay and his wife, Poppy Hollins, for raising them the right way. “Good job parents. It all starts at home. She shines,” said @sovereign.space. @annaboz1 wrote, “This is just beautiful. Kudos to you and her mummy for creating such a lovely little girl!” @traceydenise197 lauded, “Hats off to Rosa's mama and papa because Rosa didn't raise herself.”

Jay and Poppy have three children together: one baby boy and one two-year-old daughter named Frankie, apart from Rosa. He often shares sweet moments from his family life on his social media, as well as instances from his parenting journey, along with Poppy. “Parenting is tough, but moments like these make it all worth it,” Jay wrote in the reel caption.
