Protective dad wins the internet by hilariously intimidating boys who were talking to his daughter

Being a "girl dad" is no joke. As we see on social media, almost every girl dad is extremely protective of their daughters and they try their best to keep a hawk's eye on their friend circle too. A TikTok creator named Leah (@leahhh_723) shared a brief but extremely funny video of her dad from when they were on vacation. The video pretty much justified what most fathers do when they spot unfamiliar boys talking to their daughters.

"My favorite animal is my dad seeing boys talk to my little sister on vacation," read the text overlay on the 12-second video which garnered over 38 million views. In the clip, Leah's dad can be seen walking towards a bunch of boys who appear to be in their teenage years. It looks like the video was filmed over a pier where many other people were gathered. Just as Leah's dad spots his younger daughter having a chat with those boys, he calmly marches up to the group and puts his arms over two of the boys' shoulders.

Although viewers cannot hear the conversation between the protective dad and the young boys in the clip, it's not hard to imagine what it may have been like. As soon as the dad appeared, Leah's sister covered her face while smiling in embarrassment. The TikTok community could relate to the possessiveness of the father and shared their own experiences of being a girl dad or having seen a girl dad around. @lucrezia.lisi wrote, "My dad is the complete opposite, he sees someone for three seconds and invites them over to dinner."

@kon.masou commented, "I love that my dad was and is like this. When you're young you get embarrassed or annoyed but growing up you realize how much it means." @klarissagfioree mentioned, "I have this thing with both my parents. I was on the beach and a guy was just looking at me, my mom gave him a side eye and said 'do you need anything?' and my dad came and stood next to me." @emrj_ added, "I couldn’t stop laughing. Dad has one mission and no one is stopping him." In another story, a fellow TikTok creator shared how her dad spends his day being a "girl dad" and it's mostly him complying with his daughter's demands and pampering her to the fullest.

Ines Rae, a 19-year-old singer-songwriter based in London who goes by @inesraemusic on TikTok, shared the wholesome video with her father. Rae often posts adorable father-daughter videos on her social media handles. But this particular video summed up what it feels like being a "girl dad" as Rae's dad enacted some common occurrences in his everyday life. As Rae filmed him, he started the video by sharing how he knows about oat milk, has to take breaks from his work to make TikTok videos with his daughter and also has to buy ginger shots.

As a dad with a daughter, he also mentions how the girls in the house use up all the paper towels. He shows his wallet in the next clip and jokes that he has no money because he spends it all on his daughter. Wearing his daughter's purses around his neck, the dad also revealed the reality of shopping or going out with his daughter saying, "Of course, I have to carry all these bags." Finally, the list ended with the dad saying, "I'm a girl dad. Of course, I'm a taxi driver."
