When Anna Khadejah's (@annakhadejah on X) mother, Dr. Cisse, an anatomy professor, noticed her student bringing their baby to class because they couldn't find a babysitter, she knew she had to step in. So, the empathetic professor immediately took the infant from her student and turned into the ultimate babysitter they needed. Khadejah shared the heartwarming post on September 20, 2019, and since then, it has received 45K likes on the platform.

"My mom is my role model," Khadejah wrote as she posted the picture of her mother carrying the baby on her back while teaching for three hours straight. While Dr. Cisse looks totally engrossed in lessons, her student's child sleeps comfortably in the makeshift back wrap. Luckily, the baby mostly remained asleep during the lecture, allowing Dr. Cisse to take her class without much disturbance. "I’m so blessed to be raised by a woman who loves the world as much as her own children," Anna added. Dr. Cisse clearly has a soft spot for all children, and that's perhaps why she runs a non-profit organization called Gourma-Himi, through which she sponsors children for school in Mali.

Raising a child is difficult, especially when you're young and have no childcare help. Just like Dr. Cisse's student, nearly 4.8 million student parents in higher education struggle to find the perfect childcare for their kids. Research claims young parents have diverse childcare needs, particularly with kids under the age of 5. Even with difficulties, if they somehow complete their higher education, childcare responsibilities further hinder their professional growth. In fact, according to UNICEF, a lack of quality childcare services leaves parents, especially mothers, with no other choice other than to bring their kids to their workplace.

Meanwhile, when Anna shared the heartfelt incident on Twitter, she received an outpouring of love on social media, with people praising her mom for being such a kind and compassionate teacher. For instance, @ohboy_99, a student of Anna's mom, commented, "No lie, your mom is my anatomy professor, and this just happened on Thursday in our class. She’s probably one of the best professors I’ve had! Dr. Cisse is the GOAT (Greatest of All Time)." Similarly, @mcfarlandneil wrote, "A true and compassionate educator. We need more people like your mom teaching. Blessings for you both!"

@heyjustmyview, who was quite overwhelmed with the beautiful picture, said, "See! There is so much good in our world! What a wonderful teacher/woman she is. I worked two jobs with a toddler and a six-year-old. It would have been a blessing to have help when I needed it. Our children are our future." Echoing the sentiments, @racerx57217102 commented, "God bless your mother and you as well. I'm sure you'll take her example and teach it to others. I hope you're succeeding in whatever you were pursuing at the time of this posting." Another user who goes by @bessynnenna said, "This is a true African woman. This is true humanity. You're a great mum. Thank you for giving the mother the opportunity to learn and the baby the opportunity to enjoy the warmth of your back. Thank you."
