Love lives in both the grand gestures and the little things. It is in picking up your partner after a long day at work. It is in listening to them closely when they ramble about their day. And it is in the simple act of giving your girlfriend a subtle shoutout while flying a plane full of strangers. A video posted by Madison, who goes by @madwin21 on TikTok, captured a moment when her boyfriend gave her a shoutout mid-flight that left passengers smiling and viewers swooning. The announcement began routinely but concluded with a more personal touch.

As the video began, the pilot addressed the passengers and said, "If there's anything we can do to make this ride a little more comfortable, please don't hesitate to ask." He continued, "Other than that, thank you for choosing United Trans. Have a great day." Then, with a pause, he added, "One more note for you guys. In the back, in seat 1A, is my lovely and wonderful girlfriend. Her name is Madison. She has made her way up to Chicago and was gonna ride home with us." The girlfriend was seen smiling as the pilot said, "This is a special flight for me because it's the first time I've had the opportunity to fly her anywhere."

He followed it with a playful detail, "And if there's two things I know about Madison, she loves long walks on the beach and high fives." He then asked the other passengers, "So, as you make your way out of the airplane, if you could please give her a high five for me and, you know, just let her know how great my landing was? If you could, that'd be great." He ended the announcement with, "Thanks, guys. Have a good night." The clip garnered nearly 17 million views and gathered praise from users who found the gesture sweet and sincere.

@lilmumblerap wrote, "A passenger princess at 40,000 feet is wild." @mygoldfishaddiction commented, "Are you actually joking? This is so cute, I could cry." @growthwithcat added, "I would die of embarrassment, but I'm so glad he did this for you." @tattedsales joked, "Imagine people looking at you during the turbulence, lol." @likeginbutjen wrote, "I would feel safe on this flight knowing the pilot is gonna be extra cautious because the girlfriend is on the flight." @love_from_rex said, "That's not your boyfriend, that's your husband!" @kaitlynwoodroww shared, "My boyfriend is a pilot, and I'm waiting for this day." @its.ros3es quipped, "Forget football boyfriend/husband. Pilot boyfriend is way better."

However, some were not so supportive of the gesture. @rileyintheq said, "I got places to be, little brother, just fly the plane." @halzey2442_halo wrote, "That's kinda embarrassing, I am sorry." @prettyinpinka remarked, "Him saying that is so unnecessary, not gonna lie." Others came to his defense. @lobo_osrs said, "Brother did a sweet romantic gesture for his girlfriend, and some of y’all sound so bitter. Let the man be excited, and she clearly loved it. She’s shaking and holding back tears." @dkcostaa pointed out, "The video is literally 46 seconds long, and he took 30 of those seconds to talk about his girlfriend and do something nice. These comments need to chill. With pilot."
