Honestly, all the other so-called iconic duos of Hollywood have got nothing on this pair of BFFs.
Hollywood is yet to see a friendship akin to that of Sir Patrick Stewart and Sir Ian McKellen. The veteran actors have time and again given us glimpses of their unfiltered camaraderie during public appearances, snatching up collective "aww's..." from the internet each time. The most recent of their adorable PDA episodes played out at the London premiere of CBS All Access' new reboot Star Trek: Picard, where the veteran stars went all out with a red carpet proposal and a cheeky kiss that sent our jaws crashing to the floor. Honestly, all the other so-called iconic duos of Hollywood have got nothing on this pair of BFFs.
Of course, this is nothing compared to the degree of cuteness Stewart and McKellen brought to the Star Trek: Picard London premiere. That was just something else. Like a late Christmas present or a "we know the world seems like a pretty bleak place right now, so here you go, buddy" soother. The look on their faces in this picture here, that, ladies and gentlemen, is the look of pure bliss and joy.

And that proposal! I don't think I've experienced so many emotions race through my body ever before. Sorry romantic relationships, these two have crowned 2020 the year of platonic proposals.
Tell me you don't feel all kinds of warm and fuzzy in your heart looking at the great Ian McKellen grinning wide like the sweetest angel ever in this photo. I mean, could he be any happier?
Of course, in a shocking move literally no one saw it coming, McKellen and Stewart shared a kiss that pretty much broke the internet.
I repeat, this is what actual #friendshipgoals looks like. This greatest-of-all-time PDA is made even sweeter when you remember that McKellen officiated Stewart’s wedding to wife Sunny Ozell in 2013.
While Stewart and McKellen's latest public affirmation of love came as quite a surprise to many, this isn't the first time the pair have kissed each other in front of the camera. The duo previously celebrated their bromance with a sweet kiss once during the London premiere of Mr. Holmes in 2015.
And then two years later, Patrick presented McKellen with the Empire Legend award during the 2017 Three Empire Awards.
As for how Ozell feels about her husband kissing his famous BFF, Stewart clarified in a 2016 Mirror interview that his better half has no qualms about the thespian duo's expressions of love for each other. "She encourages it!" he said at the time with a laugh. So there you go, readers. We'll definitely be seeing more of their iconic bromance. Yay!
