'I wanted to create an eerie yet endearing version of the living dead, a zombie that you wanted to embrace and take home with you.'

Halloween is just around the corner and there are innovative costumes and spooky decor as far as the eyes can see. A photographer from Virginia did the most creepy yet adorable photoshoot with her two young sons. Elizabeth Whitley and her husband took their sons Ezra, then 2, and Jonas, then 4, to a historic graveyard to do the photoshoot. In the shots shared by Whitley, the two boys can be seen wearing denim overalls and posing in the fog-filled graveyard. The background displays tombstones and an old townhouse. The boys put on straight faces and special effects made their eyes red to resemble zombies.

Whitley told us that they have always "tried to instill the idea that Halloween and creepy things are fun and silly" in their children. She hopes that this way the kids won't be too scared around Halloween. She further explained that the kids have never been exposed to "anything gory," however, "they love the idea of zombies, vampires, werewolves, and other creepy creatures." So, this idea of a zombie photoshoot was right up their alley.

The photographer also talked about her inspiration behind this incredible shoot. "I wanted to create an eerie yet endearing version of the living dead, a zombie that you wanted to embrace and take home with you," she said. "Their chunky cheeks and somber expressions fit right in with my vision."

The children, of course, did not know what was going on until they saw the end result. Whitley explained, "All they knew was that they got to wear their favorite overalls and didn't have to smile." Her son Jonas thought the end results were "cool," while Ezra did not see the final photos until he was a little older. When he saw them he exclaimed, "ooooh, I creepy!" and giggled.

Whitley joked, "Norman Reedus said 'I don't think anyone wants to cuddle a zombie.' Except...maybe these zombies?" referring to her adorable sons posed as scary zombies.

In another instance of a unique Halloween costume, a little boy's "fart" costume has gone viral. Ashley Gray, the boy's mother, shared pictures of this costume on a Facebook group of moms and it won hearts. The amazing photograph showed her kid Logan wearing a comical fart costume and flashing a cheeky smile. Gray's kid wanted to capture the spirit of a fart for the Halloween season. Gray wrote in the caption, "He hugged me after he put it on and said I'm the best mommy." The group's other members couldn't get enough of the humorous outfit and the youngster's apparent enjoyment in wearing it. Logan looks to be nearly completely engulfed by swaths of brown and green cloth, grasping a remote-controlled fart machine.
