She didn't like the attention the co-worker was giving to her husband. She tolerated it until it got on her last nerve.

There are many things partners usually do for each other as a part of their daily routine. But when someone stops acknowledging your hard work and efforts, you are forced to step back and let them see what they are doing wrong. However, sometimes people turn against the person instead of accepting their mistake. 27-year-old u/Playful-Rub-3791 took to Reddit to share a similar story where she was forced to stop making her husband's lunch so he could see what he was doing wrong.

"I and my husband have been married for 3 years but were dating 4 years prior," the woman began. "He recently got a promotion in his company and moved to a different department." In the new department, the husband started interacting with a 24-year-old female coworker. "I dislike her and have from the start. Every time I'm there, she makes sure to call him her work husband. Or she will do simple things such as making him food or giving him extra tight hugs," the wife shared. "But my breaking point was last week when he had come home with the food I made him." The wife asked her husband why his lunch bag was still full of the food she made him in the morning.

"He said that his coworker had made him food and he didn't want to seem rude and waste it. So, I ignored it till he threw away the food I made him," the wife pointed out. "I woke up at 6 am just to make him his favorite food. But ever since then, this has been happening every day." It went on till the point it started bothering the woman. "Today, I decided not to make him lunch. He came downstairs in the morning to me making breakfast and asked me where his lunch was," she explained. "I said I didn't make him one because it was going to go to waste anyway." The woman continued, "He started arguing that I was being petty over a little thing. But I tried to discuss how I felt and he went over it."

The woman wondered if she was wrong for not making lunch for her husband. People took to the comments to support the wife. u/lowkeyhobi wrote, "Who is hugging their coworker in front of their spouse(or at all) in the first place? I think you need to sit down and have a real frank conversation with your husband. Because if the shoe was on the other foot, he would not like you doing any of this." u/maddi-sun shared, "I hugged one of my coworkers once and it was after my mom had passed away and I had a breakdown unexpectedly in the middle of the work day. But she was like a second mom to me (I was young when my mother died). I would never hug a male coworker, especially not one that was married."

u/bestlongestlife remarked, "This guy has no boundaries and loves work wife's attention. It will be a long-term problem with women at his office and out in the world. I'd open a separate bank account and after having been through a bad marriage where I doubted my instincts, I'd meet with an attorney. Don't have a child with this man." u/lovebeingalone60 expressed, "He shouldn't be allowing her to hug him full stop and he needs to tell her not to make him food. They are going to be the talk of the department."
