People rally around employee who stood up to a customer who threw pizza at her: 'There's no sauce'

People working in customer service often have to face difficult situations with customers. Some are unhappy with the quality of the goods, while others might complain about not getting the right order. However, people forget that the ones working in the service industry are human beings who deserve to be treated with respect. So, when a woman walked into a Pizza Hut store and disrespected an employee, she was lauded for deciding to stand up for herself.

The video was posted on TikTok by @capricornred87 where she walks into a Pizza Hut store and can be seen telling the workers there that there are some issues with the pizza she picked up. She says that it's a "thin crust" and there's no "sauce on it." The worker calmly tells her that she has eaten half of the pizza to which the woman responds that it's not half of the pizza because it's just three slices. The store employee emphasizes that there is sauce on the pizza and the woman aggressively says, "You show me the sauce." The person replies that she made it and the woman gets so upset that she throws the pizza towards the employee so that it falls off on the floor.

She then rushes out of the store and while doing that she makes a brief eye contact with the person recording the video. The worker follows her outside and they have an exchange of words and then the store employee pushes her twice. The woman says, "I didn't touch you, you touched me." The employee was so agitated by then that she responded, "Yes I touched you, b**ch." The worker and the person who was recording the video stood outside the store and looked at the woman get into her car and leave.

Some people on the social media platform felt that the worker did the right thing. @born2flyyy commented, "If you think you can treat people without respect except the same in return. Well done, Pizza Hut." @twanastrickland wrote, "Yesss finally, you all gonna stop disrespecting these fast food workers." @castor.polydeuces commented, "Karen practically ran out of that store. She knew what was coming next." However, there were also people in the comments who weren't fine with the worker hitting the woman. @dadn562 commented, "She was wrong for pushing the lady. that lady pushed the pizza over but she shouldn't have put her hands on her." @.daemarie wrote, "If she didn’t put your hands on you, you keep your hands to yourself! Karen or not."

Many employees come across such people while working in customer service but only a few can stand up for themselves as there are strict instructions from the companies that the "customer is always right" and the employee should never get into any conflict with them. In this case, the worker was initially talking to her patiently and conveying that they had made the pizza well with a good amount of sauce but things went out of hand when the woman threw the pizza and tried to run away.
